IN THE 8's FINALLY. I had an awsome weekend. After messing with the air shifter (new one on the way) all day saturday, I finally removed the button and said F it lol.
Terrible 60ft times but not bad for the first outing of the year.
Best passes of the weekend FOOT SHIFTING the bike.........
1.605 60ft
4.047 330ft
5.956 @129.9 1/8
7.585 1000'
8.978 @ 161.52
1.560 60ft
3.985 330'
5.897 @128.88
7.522 1000'
8.918 @162.10
All these passes were with a very mild tune-up and guessing a total with juice was about 255hp or so. Tried riding the bike with more power but couldnt shift gears fast enough.

I never would have thought that I could ride that well a year ago. I have only riden maybe 5 miles this winter. Im so happy and there is so much left in the bike.

1st congratulations on getting into the 8s! Second I've been posting on this for 2 years! You don't need an air shifter to go 8s! They are unreliable. Foot shift it!!
Take that airshifter off and sell it (waste of money).

Thanks RACE, I know how much experience you have and what you have been through, your posts as well as others on this site and others is what got me here. I didnt know anything about a bike 3 years ago and with lots of help and good advise from many, Dr Joe, Ken yourself and to many others to list ive met my goal and then some.
Now....If anyone has any ideas on how to loose 20lbs before end of race season? LoL.
My goal now? 8.5? before the end of the season at 170 mph.
Thanks again everyone (wifey thanks you too no more spending $$$$$) yeah right BAAAHHAAAAAA

Great times! You should be proud of them.
I still think your Crazy! Airshifters are more consistant and cause less wear! almost every high powered bike that foot shifts goes through shift forks like I go through clutches. If you have your air set right or if you use a HP system where it is regulated. every shift is the same! I bet when he puts his Airshifter on he picks up at least .05-.10th......

What about electric shifters to "enhance" footshifting?

I will admit I had the wrong system on the bike. Only reason I removed the button at the track was a piece of mind. If I didnt have a button to hit I had to shift the bike myself. Trust me, the MPS box showed up today and will be on and working by the weekend. Like I said it was the first weekend out LOL...

whatever, when your airshifter costs you the race in the final round of a money race, post your revised opinion, been there done that. All my victories and trophies came without using an airshifter. If I miss a shift and fuck up, at least I have myself to blame but when my shifter causes me to lose a race I would have otherwise won, I take the steps necessary to win the next time.

I never had an electric/air shifter...Only foot shifting...Maybe next year I will hook up an air shifter, but definately making my 12 a 60inch...
