So lets play a game :)
Lets pretend you want to build your dream dragbike.
Bike requirements
1. Be a ZX12R
2. Have a big mamma jamma turbo hangin off the front
3. Have a 3-10 adjustible arm (for all sorts of fun).
So...say you were building a beast like this...what else would you do to it? Thoughts..ideas...tossem out
and a couple of questions while im at it.
1. Is there a 16" rim that would fit 12R forks?
2. what gearing would one run on a turbo bike built for the strip?

DFI, forget the long arm, stock or 60" wheelbase! As stock looking as possible. Basically the BudBusa bike! #8! only on a 12R platform

Where would one obtain a set of one piece bodywork?
Fuel cell should be cut down significantly (who needs 5 gallons at the track anyway?)

cool, you gonna put big ole RC's in that bitch? Muzzy's sells the 550ccs with spacers for 459.99, not too shabby. Those should be good to 400 maybe a little more with 50psi base pressure. Let me know if you need some help, the maps muzzy gives you arent worth a shit, I had to build one from scratch for the big injectors. Simple as can be though, esp if you know your basic principles. The DTA software is user friendly.....

Going to be a stock motor till I hole some pistons...so im shooting for a bit below 300 at the moment. After its gone...Ill put in some mac daddy pistons/rods/headwork etc and shoot for the moon.
No need for the bigger injectors till then.

The EMS is supposed to provide that capability (comes with the wideband sensor etc)

The EMS can't bump the fuel pressure up during boost....
Im just thinking unless you use an FMU you are gonna run out of injector way before you get to 300rwhp. I made 332 with 50lb injectors and the duty cycle was near 100% at the end of the run.....

hrmmm....I was under the assumption that the EMS can indeed adjust pressure during boost....ahh the joys of research

you are gonna need a 1 to 1 rising rate regulator just to compensate on the other side of the injector for each pound of boost you run. If you want to bump the pressure in your fuel system for adding fueling capabilites, you are gonna need an FMU. BTW, an FMU is just a band-aid, injectors are the way to go. BTW, order bigger than your needs so you wont be at 100% duty cycle.

Oh all that will eventually show up...however on the stock motor...with ~300...I believe the stockers will work fine with some increased fuel pressure. I was making 250rw on spray with the stock Fuel Pressure/stock pump/stock injectors without coming near 100% duty cycle...I dont think another 50hp would be in a dangerous range...but...we shall see

how do you it wasnt near 100% duty cycle? There isnt a controller monitoring when the injectors fire so how could you know that? Id bet big cash that you were using it up there with that amount of rear wheel. Motorhead has done it with stock busa injectors but they are going to 13.5 to 1 near 300 rwhp. If you want to keep it at a safe 11.7 to 1 on the dyno and make 300 you need injectors. Just put the 650ccs in that whore and take advantage of the EMS. Then you can crank that gate as high as you want I bet you can hold lots of HP with a base spacer and stock pistons. If you dump enough fuel and keep it at 11 something to 1 it would last.....

I coulda sworn the DJ software on the dyno read duty cycle...if that wasnt what I was lookin at with the % on the end...then im confused

the thing on your PC software is called throttle percentage.....there is nothing on a dynojet that shows duty cycle of your injectors.....
