My Motor Pix's start to finish!
well this is going to take a while but I might as well start! here are some pictures! of Work in Progress of "Forest1" hope you all enjoy!!
front of the motor on stand

side of motor.

this is the view looking down into my intake through the throttle bodies! the shiny lips will be removed! this will be free HP, this is causing unneeded air turbulance!

oh here is the side of the motor with the head off, and ready to take the block off.

bottom of head

ok closeup of head! Note: this is the valve that looked the worst, all the rest of them were clean? dont know why this one looks like this?

small polishing job emphisize small amount!!

second view.

well just sharing! I will have more photos over the next few weeks! still not sure what it is going to end up as? but Im hoping for the 1361 kit!! but $$ is the tell tale!!

Er..what's the trick here. If I used [ img ], all I get is a red x. Anyways, it's a pic of my polished up head. Keep us posted, Mike.

mike,great pics.i would think the seat on that wet valve or valve itself need some attention.any chance that valves lash was too tight as to float. please let us in on your journey this is awsum info.thank you. killer

not sure about the valves, Im going to have a pro look at them! well hopefully!

What about the sparkplugs?? How do they look? Did you R&R them during the season???

you can see them in the closeup of the valve's and these are the same plugs from the factory, LOL..

Hey MM, rod close-up #2, is that a port (jet) to direct oil onto the inside of the piston dome for cooling? If so I would like to see a picture of the inside of your pistons! Great pictures and info. Kingzx12r showed me that N2O was do-able and now this. Also, stick a finger inside your exhaust port exit, at the gasket surface and post what you find. If you find the same thing I did I'll post some pictures.

The pistons sure are wet???
Looks like the valve seal might have been bad on that one valve...
I SHOULD be able to start a thread on...building a 1361...
I'm supposed to get the bike tomorrow
