I did it with a tad over 200. Naturally, much of the equation relies on rider weight and ability. Swingarm length and traction are two big factors also. Oh yeah, where you race can make a huge difference. You live in the Rockies? Mine was done at a sea level track. That definitely helped. I've seen lightweight riders get real close with just an arm and good traction. Good luck.

With skill and a 6" arm you can do it like Krex at 200hp (on motor) if you are NOT a member of TFA. Or you can get a 10" arm, that'll help.
If you are using juice to get yr 215-220, you will probably have a harder time getting into the 8's than on motor.
I'm running solidly 8.9's, some 8.8's on 1427 motor with about 215hp and a 10" arm, and I AM a founding member of TFA. However i'm an ole fart and i'm sure you can do better than me!

I almost (which does not matter) made it with 179 + 40hp shot of NOS. I ran 9.09. I needed the improve the launch / 60ft. The bike will run 8's, I just did not put it there (last year).
Now, this year..... I am feeling the 8's....

When my bike gets back from the builders it will be 65", have a multi stage, be slammed (short pan and sidewinder) and make in the region of 175-180 hp n/a and about 240hp on the gas. I have nitrous Wiseco pistons and plan to run a 60-80 dry shot (proggressive). I weigh around the 210lb mark
Thanks for your input

NM you will have no problem going 8s with that combination. I would estimate that at your weight, wheelbase and power level 8.80s should be a regular occurance. 8.50s are possible, should be in the 161-165mph range.
