Wahoo!! Ryan & Muzzys still in NHRA Pro-stock!!
Man, after all the rumors floating around on the boards, I was afraid that Muzzys would give up on the NHRA all together. I was even afraid that they would go to the darkside with Rob Muzzy's comment about possibly not being on a 'green' bike. But, it's official as of today:

Kawasaki & Team Muzzy Take on NHRA POWERade Series
Thursday, February 26, 2004
Rob Muzzy to head Kawasaki's NHRA drag racing effort Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., long a supporter of professional motorcycle drag racing, is expanding its efforts this year to support the NHRA series in addition to the AMA/Prostar Drag Racing Series.
Rob Muzzy of Muzzys Performance Products world-renowned for modifying Kawasaki's leading-edge, championship-winning NINJA® sportbikes for the world's top road racers and drag racers will supervise the drag racing team and lead the NHRA effort.
Muzzy has a long-standing relationship with Kawasaki which spans more than two decades and accounts for dozens of titles.
Muzzy has brought home 25 national championships, one world championship and six Daytona wins since he tuned for the legendary Eddie Lawson in 1981. His record of racing and winning championships is unmatched by anyone else in the industry.
Pro racer Ryan Schnitz, backed by Muzzy and Kawasaki, will contest key Pro Stock Bike rounds of the 2004 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Schnitz, a former Kawasaki Team Green drag racer who competed in the AMA/Prostar Series from 1998 through 2003, won two championship titles prior to making the jump to the NHRA series.
Schnitz, who was only 16 when he began his professional drag racing career, competed aboard a Kawasaki NINJA ZX-6R in the AMA/Prostar 600 SuperSport class. After earning the #3 plate in 2000, Schnitz stepped up his level of competition and took home the title in 2001. In true championship-fashion, he successfully defended his title and kept the #1 plate in 2002. Schnitz plans to keep the momentum rolling as he enters a new stage in his racing career.
"We are thrilled to compete in the popular NHRA series," said Rob Muzzy, supervisor, Kawasaki Drag Racing. "Ryan is a great young racer, and we're looking forward to developing his skills further."
