reverse shifting

Does any one have their shifting pattern reversed and is it better on the strip?

Reverse shifting allows you to lower your gearing further than regular shifting. It's much easier to get your foot on the peg and bang the 1-2 shift down than it is to try to weasel your foot under the shifter to pull it up.

Once you switch.... its hard to recondition yourself to go back...lol.

I had to put sticky notes on my tach to remind myself of the shift pattern as one nice I downshited from 2nd to 1st at 100+mph.... luckily I felt the tire start to skip and yanked the clutch.

But 1 up and 5 down is the schznit! No parts to buy except a few $.07 washers.
Just flip your shifter upside down. DON'T PUT HONDA PARTS ON YOUR KAWI...lol

I used reverse shifting until I installed the airshifter, took a little gettin used to, but worked great, especially at the track. Did'nt buy anything. (a washer probably would keep the arm from rubbing tho).
