What are you wanting to stiffen the rear???? I bought a heavier rear spring because of extended swingarm from Scott at GMD computrack in Manfield Texas(Fort Worth suburb).... My was too soft and spongy with the extended swingarm... Or are you trying to go lower than stock shock allows... Can you fabricate different dog bones allowing lowering even more??

Wouldn't custom lowering links be the easiest and cheapest then????

The rear shock link for the dogs need to be mored up out of the way. By getting a shorter rear shock it pulls the link up.

No. Think about it. You're gonna have some 700lbs/170hp/90lb ft+ loading up the back tire... you want some type of suspension working. Putting an extra long set of "dog bones" does nothing for the rear suspension except push it beyond its range of usability.

The dogs need to be shorter if the shock is shorter!
