Deep staging and a front wheel beam guard
I have heard that if you install a beam guard ring to the inside of the front rim it will allow you to stage deeper.
Is this a worthwile practice, I thought the beam was very close to the ground so this ring was not needed but I see lotsa full on drag bikes with them fitted.
Any advise?

It just allows the beam not to "creep" over the rim...with low profile tires...wont change how far you can deepstage....that depends on the "rollout" of the tire/rim

Yup, Doug's right. You don't need it with the stock ZX-12 tire and rim.
