Holy SNow! I feel like I'm in Canada!

WOw! there's a ton of snow at our house... it rarely snows here.. like once every 2 years.. and when it does it usually turns to rain after about 6 hours.. never sticks... esp where we are... right at sea level (like 2 blocks from the ocean) damn! I went to bed expecting all the snow to be gone and it isnt! I'll have to learn how to use the snow shovel! Suddenly I feel like I'm in Canada!

Snowing on the surrounding mountains; the local twisties are solid mud/trees/debris & many are closed altogether. Looks like the worst winter in 10+ years; if it ever clears up it will take months to dry out. Flash flood watches all over the Bay Area....

It's been phking raining for the 13 of the last 15 weekends......aaarrrggghhhhh!!!! I'm losing it...I need a two-wheel FIX! We were supposed to meet at the drags today (Sears Point), but ANOTHER friggin' storm rolling in- expecting 5" minimum....

You know you guys have snow i have rain. In a state that January is our most detrimental month when it comes to snow. There should be at least 6 inches on the ground. But there is none, none what so ever, not even hiding in the shaded corners. Oh AND its 59 degrees IN MICHIGAN!!!!. GIVE ME MY SNOW BACK!!!

It was cold enough here in Edmonton that my digital outside thermometer stopped reading altogether. The manual for the thing said it would effectively read to -40c, but I don't think we got quite that cold. I would say -35c is approximately correct. I did look at my bike today, but that's it.

No riding for a while I think.....mind you I am dreaming of riding to the bike show, midmonth....

Very true, but that is precisely why I (and many others) don't live there. Horrors stories of -60c, gravel roads for 500 miles in every direction of the major cities, and Horse Flies that can carry off small children.....that just somehow turns me off.
