I wish I was there.....can think of some long straights on the south-west side of the BIG island... Did a lap of the island with stops once in about 7 hours...in a cage!

Howzit
I live in Makaha.... I also have a pal who lives on MCBH. Nice high speed runs with twisties out here. Mountains on the right and ocean on the left. The waves are 15-20 these days though so we need to watch out for the sand. It's been cold too, about 64-70 degrees at night (hehe.)
And then we have the rain to contend with...
But who's complaining!
Anyway, shoot me an e-mail...
Later brother,

...dude, I was born and raised there, but have been in SoCal since '85...never rode a 12 on Oahu, but rode a Z-1B there...no place to really go except to Zippy's or Rainbow Drive-In ...ok, Tantalus/Roundtop is ok for its hairpins and only when its dry...H-1, H-2, H-3, Kam Hwy...but that's about it for you guys (no fo'get to look fo'da' Camaro wit' da' blue on top following you...right, Mike? )...hey the surf is almost always good anyway, eh?...and the South (AL, NC, SC, TN, AR) were fine riding areas, too...but a 12R in Hawaii?...nice power, but nowhere to really use it and not get into trouble (except maybe at the track as you watch the 600s go around you or you wait for the 600s at the end of the 1/4 mile)...I think a dual-sport would be more practical...or riding on the Big Island would be better for some distance...hey, just my opinion...now eat yer' poi!
