AMA Remembrance Wall, I nominate Zhooligan The AMA Headquarters in Ohio has a Honor,Remembrance wall with Walnut Plaques on the wall. It also a gesture of respect as well for riders name on the wall.
It Takes a one time 500.00 donation For a riders name to be placed on the wall. We could all pitch in. I'm in.
I seen the Article in AMA rag June 2003 issue pg 54, I wish I had a scaner so I could post article. The man in control of this at AMA is Dan Smith Phone # 614 856-2222 or e-mail at dsmith@motorcyclemuseum.org
Once it is on the wall I could make a run up there and take pics and share with all here and Zoos family as well.
I always think of fallen riders at the turn of each year. Maybe some of you do as well.

Wondering when I should think about doing it? What would be more important, the start of a new year, or the start of umm...AMA Racing season. Don't know how many folks here knew it, but Don Blair (Zhooligan) got to see his bike (RC51) go around Daytona in the 200. I wasn't there for it, but that hadda been pretty special. I'm thinking that it could be done around that time, or just prior to Laguna Seca, since that was a favorite event of his every year. I guess what I don't want to do is to dedicate the plaque on the anniversary of his death, as I'll always celebrate knowing him, not losing him as a friend.

Great link there Dave, That is the excact story I read in magazine and picture. And my frist thought after reading it was Zhooligan and what a great way to show our respect for his life on motorcycles and his contributions here on site.
Very good point swft, Celebrate knowing him, not losing him.
Swft do you want to run with this since you are close to Zhooligan and his family? And I can help with donation and logistics with AMA since its right up the road from me.

I just got off the phone with Mr Dan Smith AMA and he said that setting up a date for having it installed on wall would not be a problem. He is going fax info for the procedure and details today.
Up to 25 characters on plaque, We could leave it to family and swift what to put on plaque.

I'll speak with Zhooligan's wife after the start of the new year. And we'll come up with what to put on the plaque. Thanks very much for all your help and the great suggestion!
