Flashing a 2000 ZX12R A1 ECU

IM not working for me so here goes. I found a thread where KZScott mentions he can flash 2000 and 2001 ECU's. How does one get ahold of him?

With the 2000/1 there are not many who do it commercially as it needs some hw changes and different tools. There is the thread Hacking 1 ecu at time where there are instructions. I have done my own and it is worth it. Nowadays it will be even harder as getting the tools is even harder. Hopefully you can get hold on to someone who can do it. If need help setting everything up I can help.

Getting the ECU flashed helps to get it smoot and some extra ponies without PC 3. And in 2001 of course get rid of the top speed restricton.

There is some information on the web, much of it contradictory such as the "A1 model is not restricted", "the A1 is restricted in the first three gears", and ridgeracer posted, "the A1 is restricted in all gears". I found KZScott and sent him my ECU to have the RPM limit increased and make some timing changes. What I would like to know is if the 2000 A1 ECUs are restricted, how, by timing, fuel or a combination of both? He adapted a PCV with the Autotune Module from a 2007/2008 GSXR to his ZX12R with his own turbo kit.

A1 was not restricted- the Y2K model. Believe 2001 onwards is top speed restricted. That restriction can be bypassed in serial ways.

A1 doesn't have different ignition map for different gears. Later ones have different gear 1 map. On high RPM ignition starts to lower advance, but that is past hp peak. On A1 you should also adjust atmospheric pressure map. Otherwice it does not compensate right for high altitude. I've also made ignition advance basically 0 on TPS 0% so it makes on/off throttle smoother. Also near 4k there is extra ignition advance and too much fuel for emission purposes. If you want I can send my last map. I have Akrapovic 4-1 pipe so if you have some other pipe it is not that useful.

But if you have 01 my map doesn't help as the values are different for later ones. Kawi changed the formulas to have better IAP resolution in the map to help smooth the throtle. Past 00 the altitude correction is also nit needed.
