Finally Did It!!!!!

Finally saved up enough pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters to purchase a silver, a quick silver 01 ZX12R!!!! She's got a whopping 20 miles on her now, the drive from the dealership. Gonna be tough to break her in before Daytona but we're gonna try.

Introducing......QuickSilver

Congrats!

Sweet! That is a beautiful bike! Now I see why you go by BMW. I will soon have a new Ti silver 3 series to match my 12R. Be careful, the tires are very slippery when new. The 12R can be quite a handful, and the combination of High HP and smoothness can be dangerous. Now get some miles on that baby!

The new 3 series is sweet. Are you going for the 330 or the M3??? Can't see anyone that drives the baddest hyperbike on the planet in anything less. I also have a silver 95 740iL the wife hauls the kids around in!! I'll post a picture after Christmas, by then the wife will have opened up her new digital camera!! My old silverbullet got 209K miles on it now. It's time to upgrade to the 540i (I don't fit very well in the 3s) but gotta let the wife get over the other new girlfriend first. I think the the new cage will have to wait until we upgrade the resident!??!

Aren't you in Germany??? Have you been to the BMW plant and museum??? Seen any Z8s on the road??

Thank E!!

Can't wait to get that bazooka cannon off of there. Someone suggested that I wait until after the break-in period which ain't to hateful. I'll need the time to collect more cans and save some more pennies!!!

BMW

Here is a pick of my new baby. It is being built next week. We should have it by mid-January I really wanted an M3 but wifey insisted on 4 doors. She doesn't ask for much, and I need to budget for my motorcycle habit. We ordered a 2002 330i. It's loaded, including:

ti metalic paint
225 HP 3.0 6
5 Speed
Sport Package
Black Heated Leather seats
Ti Trim
Xenon Lights
Harmon Kardon 12 Speaker stereo w/6 changer in trunk
Power Glass Moon Roof
All the other standard stuff.

We are planning on taking a trip to the BMW museum and the factiry tour, we haven't yet. Also the Porsche Museum/factory in Stuttgart. Yeah... Im stationed in Germany. That is the only way I can afford this car, I get a special price, about 5K below sticker, and NO FRIGGIN TAX! Enough cage stuff... I just put a Hindle exhaust system and PCIIIR on my 12R. It makes a big differance in power! I waited until about 3K miles myself. The appearance is greatly improved when you take off the stock pipe, and the sound is awesome! A free mod that I recommend you do ASAP is hacking off some of that mile long rear fender, and tucking the rear turn-signals in. You just move the outer "spacers" inside the fender. It's easy, and cleans up the tail quite a bit. Keep us posted on your impressions of the bike, and of course you can get loads of free advice here.

CVC

Bimmer motorheads are the best kind. I haven't really done anything with my 535iS yet except wheels and exhaust. Right now it's pretty much a daily driver. I am a long time BMW CCA member!!! When I get the 540 I intend on turning it into an autocross toy. I need a 3 series for some serious track work. But for now my attention is on the 12 and a new house to store all this stuff.

The Silver 12R rocks!!

Mandingo Warrior, ....dude, I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you congratulations on the upgrade from the 9R to the 12R. You will be amazed at the mass amount of roll-on torque when in 5th and 6th gear. It's awesome.

We never did get to hook up at a track or the Oregon District this year, but hopefully next year man!

Take good care of her!

Congrats...even if it isn't painted, yet!

Congrats BMW! Welcome to the truly fast lane. I too moved up from a 9 to the 12 this year. You won't believe the differences when you get the chance to wind her up. Just hang on bro, she's a fire breathin' rip ass screamin' machine. Yep, that pretty much sums her up....oh, and then you make the mods to make her even faster. :LOL

Thanks Fellas......

Now I truly feel like one of the guys!!! Can't wait to start my mods, can't wait to get some miles on her. So get ready cause I'm gonna start asking the same questions you've answered time and time again. I could search for the answers but it's more fun talking about everything!! Besides the conversation around here is pretty enteraining when it come to who's bike is the best and why.

I hope everyone had a blessed holiday, I did. It was a good Christmas for everyone in BMW's house; the wife got a new 3.1 mega pixel digital camera and a karaoke machine (oh lawd!?!?), the Crumbpicker got cars and trucks and a remote control car that's going to break something that my wife loves very soon, the teenage daughet got a shopping spree, Big Daddy got a new mount and Smoke and Spice got gigantic beef bones!!!

BigJu - Dat ain't no stnkin OJ truck on the side of my garage, dat's da dogs' limo and occasionally I used it to resuce BigRed when she came up lame (broken master link, flat tire)!!!

Otis....

I'll be there provided I don't lose my license before then!?!??! Can't wait to hook up with you, I've been to Detroit acouple of time here recently but have been so busy I haven't even had time to call. I will definately be up there once the weather breaks and I will be on the bike so you can show me where the bikers hang out.

Mohican Park??? I'm not familiar with that one but if you ride there it's probably some place I'd like to check out.

BigJ12 - It was killing me not having what I really wanted. Now I've got a new silver 12, matching Ninja jacket and new matching Shoei RF900 and can't ride because it's snowing. Gotta break out the snow tires for the cages!?!? A few of the guys I ride with are planning a New Year's Day ride and you know I'm going even if it's only for 1/2 hour!!!!

Peace
