The Boss is Tapping my phone
I may be just paranoid but I think the boss has tapped my phone, when I dial an outside line, there's a loud beep and then it starts ringing. It never did this before and it only does it on my extension. That BOLLOX!

In my business every time I pick up the phone I am on tape. You get used to it. Sometimes though you get the feeling that some management weirdo is using you for his own personal reality show. That loser.
Take a pen and bang on the mouthpiece for say about 5 minutes.
Get in the habit of picking up the phone and then leaving it off the hook when you walk away from your desk. Call someplace that will keep you on hold for an hour(hello DMV?) and put that line on hold while you are on hold. This makes it annoying at the least. Pepper your daily phone use with this stuff as the software lets them pick and choose calls by time and duration etc. Oh and only use the work phone for bidness, playa.
I also like to randomly type "http://ifyouaretrackingmywebactivityyousuckbighairycockmotherfucker.com" into the browser command line just for fun.
Oh, and you have no reasonable expectation to privacy in your place of work.

gotcha, but here's a little more detail. If that beep on the line does mean that the call is being recorded, it's only happening when I try to call national representatives of my union(i'm a local rep) on their cell phones, no other calls. I've tried calling different numbers with the same cell companies but no beep. and We just happen to be in dispute with our employer at the moment. I reckon the Boss is using not so covert software to monitor specific numbers. The feckin eejit! He definitely sucks hairy cocks too!

While noone should expect privacy in the work place (or many other places, BTW) I think there may be some laws about interfering with union activity....anyone?
