My first new post on a new board.
Have you had to replace the battery on your 12 yet? My bike is almost a year old and I will continue to ride in the cold until the first time salt is put down on the roads. I do not want to get stuck with a dead battery. On every bike I have owned I had the battery suddenly die after 12 months. I will replace it soon just to be on the safe side. Has anyone had to replace their battery yet? Mostly I am just curious.
Thanks,
Alan

Had to replace my battery 2 months after I bought the bike. Was a year old leftover so I don't know if the battery was sitting there filled for a year or not. I got used to religiously checking fluid levels in other bikes and replaced them when they were two years old max. Now with the new "no maintenance" batteries I ALWAYS use a battery tender. Stick to the two year rule as being in butt fuck nowhere and looking for a battery is no fun. Especially trying to find a specialized battery like this one.

What the FUCK one year two years!!!!!!!! I had the battery in my ZX-11 for 5 1/2 years and replaced the damn thing. One reason might be that I ride year round snow or other wise. Well only when their is no snow on the roads. But one or two years seems a little short.

I havn't had a problem with mine (2 years old)...(and knock on wood!) My previous bike had the original battery in it for over 5 years and it is still great (per the new owner)
