SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT: - what it is, how to do it, and why!
Intimidated by suspension? Confused? Interested?
Join Service Manager Matthew Harlowe and tuner Jack Mills for our suspension seminar! Jack Milkls is one of the best-known race tuners in the country, and has set up dozens of bikes for different situations, including the Isle of Man TT course.
We'll use a ZX12R and rider for an example, but be sure to bring in your own questions about your own bike.

Hi Dave,
It's great that Jack actually gets to do somehing besides working on go-carts. What a waste of talent. You'd think cycle barn would make his skills and talents available to their sportbike customers. Oh well, just goes to show that cycle barn really doesn't give a hoot about their sportsbike business, Just my 2cents worth.

Uh - isn't this a tad illogical?
If Cycle Barn does not care about sport bike customers, why would we be using Jack to put on a seminar for... sport bike riders? I think if you wanted Jack to work on your suspension, that could be made to happen very easily. Our local guys that finished 2nd and 3rd at the nationals in the Rotax Max class would disagree with your assessment of how Jack can be used.
Jack is a very capable guy, and we can use him in a lot of different ways. If you have something you want done to your bike, we can make it happen. Are we going to have Jack sit in a clear glass case waiting for a sport bike person who might want some work done? - er, no.
If you want something - ask, and we will see if we can take care of it for you.
Last, Jack is certainly not the only qualified sport bike guy (or gal) we have in our service department.
Well, that is probably more of a response than ANYONE WANTED... sorry, but I thought that was a little bit of a cheap shot

Well, let's see, I was told that "Jack's was the only certified mechanic cyclebarn had to work on carts, and that his time was too valuable to work on sportbikes." So, I wasn't trying to make a cheat shot, just reporting what I was told.

OK - that makes sense. We have several competent techs to work on sportbikes and only one to work on karts, which have two-stroke engines, which are Jack's specialty. Sounds logical to me.
