The muzzy damper for the 12 is a hyperpro damper and their custom mounting kit.

Let's not fool ourselves. Scott's damper is the best. Nothing comes close.

The Muzzy kit requires no drilling or permanent mods, goes on in less than an hour, and uses the rate sensitive adjustable Hyperpro damper unit and it's a trick piece, if I do say so myself.

Like he said! They both work great, but the Muzzy kit, hands down, is much easier to install.

I dug this 2+ year old post up for necro.

I will also add that I am still very pleased with my damper. Of course, since Scotts has not even bothered to design the brackets for the B series 12R, there really isn't even a choice anymore.... IMHO.

There is a hyperpro damper on ebay for the 12. Should fit all years because it replaces the tank cover for mounting. Here is the link.

I agree SWFT! I bought a Scott's because I found a new one for alot less money then Muzzys'. Scotts' requires drilling and spaghetti arms to install because you have to reach far enough inside the air box to tighten the two nuts required to hold the mounting bracket in place. If my brother hadn't happened by, I never would have got mine installed. I personally like the looks of the Scotts' better, and can testify that it works, if you know what I mean

Scotts schmotts. Why cant they design one for a B model if they are so fantastic? The Muzzys has more support than 2 little bolts.
