Cyl head / Cylinder cut off?

Someone know how much it is possible to cut off head or cylinder, with stock pistons and 93 octane?

Or is it perfect if I just remove the middle part of the
" 3 layer " head gasket? Is that enough, or to less to make difference?

I wouldnt mess with the factory head gasket. Instead, remove the shim under the block. Its .010" thick and drops the block and head. The compression stock is 12.2 and removing the block shim will raise the compression to approx. 12.8 to 1

You can still run pump gas above 91 R+M/2

Cyl head / Cylinder cut off?

Thanks Y2KZX12R!

Have you done it?
Will the cyl to block be leaking then?

yea, I've been running my engine with the shim removed all year.

There is no coolant exposed to that shim.
Use an anerobic case sealer under the block.
You dont need to remove the pistons from the bores to clip and remove the shim. Just raise the block about an inch and clip one end of the shim and remove it.
But check your intake to piston valve clearance!!
You will need to buy cam gears to remove the shim under the block so you can set the valve timing.

I havent had the zx12r to the track yet.
Wow you are WAY up there!!!!
I guess CT isnt so bad, we got 4" of snow so far.

My wife drove a C dragster for several years in the late 70's and eary 80's and even held a national record back then. There wasnt many females in racing at that time. You could count them on one hand.

The last drag car was a chevy barretta tube and glass car with a one piece nose and a Big Block Chevy 502/820 hp and was driven by my brother in law. My wife had lost interest by then.
