Ign Adv for ZX!@R '02 with Full TBR and PCIIIr

I'm new to this forum and I am looking for some help with my 12. I have Two Brothers Racing full exhaust system with a PCIIIr and a map from TBR. The ignition map is zero'ed. I find the bike runs well above 2500 RPM. Below that it is sluggish and at 2500, it surges. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Thanks

Advancing my timing 2.5 deg cured the low stumbling problem around 3k on my 2000

Found a Tuning centre in Richmond. Will get a map for my bike in the spring, since it is off the road for the winter now.

Sounds weak low down. My bike runs plus five degrees on a Muzzy adjustable advancer and ticks over great. I think that would be too much extra advance for the street. More likely to be a fuelling problem. Try making it richer low down. Keith

Keith, I had someone else tell me that it was probably too rich down low and to take some fuel out. Sent me a map that he had a dyno shop make for him and it showed the mixture being leaned out below 2500. My bike is put away for the winter anyway. I'll take it in for runs in the spring.

the 12 is way too lean from the factory... you need to ADD fuel to any map.. not subtract.

Hey Fish, I still don't have a tuner for my bike, any suggestions? I am not riding it but I have "Waited" to see if there was something better than a powercommander.

I am not authorized to say anything at this time. If I were you I'd wait through the winter and see what happens in January. Meet me at the Seattle MC show and I'll tel you over a beer.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a good spring road trip to go on. I guess a good tuner will sort it out for me.

PDB... you get what you pay for... it's worth going to MVR... you'd be wasting your time and money with anyone in Vancouver.
