Chain

I'm trying to find a colored chain for my 02 ZX12. The one blue chain that I've found (EK) only has a tensile strength of 9,000 lbs. I'm not sure but I think the 12 requires one of at least 10,500. Does anyone know of any chain makers who make colored chains and has one strong enough for the almighty 12? I wouldn't feel to comfortable with a weaker chain on the beast. Anybody anybody...

My racing bike has a blue chain (or maybe purple), but I don't remember what brand.

If I remember, I'll check it out.

you could try the folks at www.hardracing.com, they're pretty knowledgeable about chains and can order from just about any vendor, any way you want it. check'em out.

EK is the only one I know of. Lot's of colors in the 530 - 9000 lb area. Their next step up is in the 10500 lb area, but you don't get the pretty colors.

Unless you're running the monster motor or drag race all the time, I don't know that I'd fret too much. If you pay attention to it, you'll notice it stretching and requiring too much adjustment/adjusting. If so, then you've got to step up to the next level (10500). I know a lot of people that go to a 520 conversion (not on a ZX12) to save weight and rolling resistance. But again, they pay close attention to how the chain is holding up.
