Exhausting Decision

OK,
my full AKRO 1200 made 168 rwhp and 93 ft/lbs torque.
My full AKRO 1361 is making 212 rwhp and 123 ft/lbs torque.
Nearly everyone and evrything I've heard and read says 168 is low. So, is it logical to conclude that if 168 is low on the stock engine, that 212 could be improved on with a full muzzy ti system ?

I know this ? has been beat to death, but your answer could save me $1200.00 or get me some more power.

Thanks,

Mega,

Talk to Dan (Oldcowboy) about a 1361- pro pipe setup that his sons just broke some records with. As far as any other pipe you need to look at the percentage of hp gain. If your stock bike made 153 hp and you put the Akro on and made 168 hp. That is a 10 percent gain, which is INCREDTABLE. Putting on any other pipe is not going to make that much difference. That is not to say there might be a small difference. There is no magic pipe on a stock 12. I can tell you I picked up 9 percent with the full Muzzy Ti, and I have seen similar gains from the other top pipes. Bottom line, I do not thing you will gain $1200 worth of hp, but you may want to look closer at the Pro pipe setup.

Your numbers with just the pipe, are good. Awesome numbers on your 1361. Enjoy.

Velasco built that motor, my 1347, and Don Blair's bike as well. Nice to have a master putting a hand to your bike.
