Ozzy's gone naked Am I ever a lucky man. Yesterday afternoon my wife bought me a 2003 Z1000! I am still amazed to say the least. Sure wish the end of the riding season wasn't so near. We had frost all over this morning again, so mid day rides are the norm the last few days that remain of the season. Hopefully I can get the tires worn out, but I doubt it. Oh well, I can set and look at the Pumpkin setting next to Kermit all winter.
The ride home was short,but one thing I did notice, this thing is small! It feels like a little toy after riding the 12R.
First order of business is to get a set of Muzzy slip ons and get rid of those "ugly sum bitches"!

Jardine makes a nice set of Slip-Ons as well. Carbon or Aluminum muffs, with stainless s-bends. They've been actually making the rounds at the shows in the Kawasaki display, beginning at Daytona.
You lose a ton of weight, since the cats are in the mufflers. The stockers are heavy!
If I remember correctly, they gained about 6 hp or so. Way simple bolt-on install. EGA says they don't run lean enough to worry about a fuel change.
Contact Bob at Hobi Kawasaki in Roseburg OR. and tell him I referred you.
I am pretty sure he will sell you a black one with black seat for $7224 (he offered me a black one for less than $7224, didnt give a quote other than less for a black since he has 2 blacks and only 1 orange one left)and deliver it to the Portland area (how I took delivery of my 12R from him).
IF I had wanted black that is what I would have done, except taken delivery in Lebanon OR. and spent a bit of time visiting Dino :-)

Its practically all your fault the wife went and spent all that money frEEk! Once she saw the picture of your naked 12R and heard me talking about how you rail that naked bike she did the next best thing to letting me strip my 12R!

Congrats Ozzy, keep us informed on it, my wife is still thinking about buying a new bike and getting rid of her 01 ZX6r. This is one of her"maybe" bikes, but she dont like the mufflers either...
