I'm not shure on the duel channel stuff with azus and AMD. I wouldnt want to steer ya in the wrong direction.
I just researched the IS-7 board and went with what was recomended.
I really dont know as much about computers as you guys think.
I only know what I have to know to build a kickass system every 3-4 years.
Each time I do a 2 week craming session on several websites that I like (tomshardware.com) is one.
then theres overclockers.com and several others that are more cutting edge.
When I built this last system I initially was running it at 3.1 ghz for burn in and then ran setti sessions at 3.4+ ghz to get it hot and test its limits.
The Intel chip turned out not to be the limiting factor of my system at all. I believe its memory timings and voltages etc.
Hard to believe but this 2.4a is capable of 3.5 or more.
I have an early chip so maybe i got lucky.
But with overclocking you never know till you test the silicon that you have in hand. You can read about crazy overclocks but will your chip do it?
Ya never know.

the All in Wonder has a built in TV Tuner,........I believe that's the most important difference.
You can basically plug a cable TV into it, and watch that on your screen while doing other Computer stuff.
I think you also get the Pinnacle brand of video editing software as a freebie, but I'm not sure if it's the same complete functionality that you get in the store bought package.

One neat thing you can do is to turn the onscreen text on, then filter it to capture whenever a particular word comes on. Say...'motorcycle'...

I would go 9700 pro - only go 9800 pro if you have the extra 150 bucks or so - the speed difference between the 2 is small

Wow Necro, i didn't know you had been popping into this old thread!
I guess I wasn't checking often enough.
Sapphire is a card company that's kinda in bed with ATI, the people making the 'chipset' that is in 1/2 the video cards out there. (nVidia is the other chipset company)
I have a Sapphire card in my pc, utilizing the ATI 9800 Pro chipset. Good stuff.
TV Out lets you put your 'screen' up on your TV if you want. It's not usually the best looking, but fun to play with sometimes.

There are over dozen wires coming from the front of the case. Some are for the ON switch, some are for the Reset switch, some are for 4 extra USB ports, some are for audio/video, & some other ones. Right now I have no clue where they go.

yeah, those particular wires do suck.

blah, blah, blah
You need either a bright flashlight to read the small lettering on the motherboard, OR, there will be a page in the manual that came with your motherboard which spells out a little more clearly where the wires go.
Then there is a special spot for the CPU fan too, maybe even a case fan!

That's to config the drive for master or for slave. Check the drive, there should be a drawing on it telling you what is what...Set it for master if it's your only drive.
