OK - going for the new Muzzy Clutch/Basket - Some Q's for you experts..
Well, I think I convinced myself to get the Muzzy clutch and Basket. I've been researching like mad - there is some great material that you guys all helped put together out there!! My question at this point deals with the springs. I read a lot about various "spring suggestions" for upgrades to the stock springs. What is the current "best to use" suggestion? I will obviously have the new Muzzy springs (I think there are 3 springs) and that will mean that I retain the 3 stockers... but is there a better set of springs to get? Thanks guys!

DP....
I recently did an informal poll on the dragracing forum and one question was about springs. Goto the "clutch set-ups" post by oldkawboy, there's a ton of good info.

That depends on your riding style. Some like heavy spring pressure...like myself... and others dont like heavy spring pressure.
You'd do alright with the 3 Muzzys sends. If you dont like it... just install the Schnitz springs or put the stockers back at your next oil change.

Thanks Guys! I think I'm going to stay with Stock+Muzzy's springs at this point, although it looks like the zx-6r springs have a good following... I'm also going to stick with the plates that Muzzy includes in the clutch package. I don't really drag that often (unless you count light to light ) so I think that should MORE than suit me. Maybe now I'll get the 1270 next spring... oh god... here I go again...

death.... one thing you'll notice about installing a billet basket is the bike accelerates much smoother and quicker. I picked up 1/10th in the 1/8th mile by just adding the basket.
