Area 51 Stunt Show comes to a tragic end
It was a beautiful day in Florida, clear, sunny, and in the upper 80's. Hundreds of bike from around Florida came to watch the best stunt riders in the state. After a couple of hours of endless stunts I was watching one of the MI Extreme's riders attempt another backwards wheelie when he came off and went down extremely hard into the street, I'll spare you the details. I'll just say it happened 50 feet in front of me and it wasn't a pretty site.
Attempts were made to help but there was literally nothing that could be done to bring him back. Needless to say it changed the entire tone of the afternoon and immediately broke up the event.

Regrets
I'm sorry to hear that Dave, To put it bluntly, What a fucking waste, Hope your OK, Witnessing tragedy can leave leave you pretty fucked up sometimes. If you need to talk to someone about it I suggest the local Fire Department, I know it's disturbing, any one that rides can associate with this.

I'm fine. I understand the risks of extreme riding and riding in general. I have seen this type of stuff before and have learned to deal with it. I just don't care to comment on the details or post pictures out of respect to the rider.
Thanks for the concern.

Bummer.......
Sorry to hear about this Dave. Seems like you're dealing with it ok. I'm glad I've never witnessed anything like that before. The real victims are the riders family.

Kinda glad I couldn't make it now
As you know I really wanted to go.I don't get any enjoyment whatsoever from seeing someone get hurt or worse. My condolences to his family and friends.

Sorry to hear about the tragic end to your nice weekend. I have seen many different stunts performed, but never any with such a dramatic end.

Thats bad, I hate to hear about anyone going in a crash. The guys I ride with have a couple of rules we go by. ! is after something like that or any crash we head directly home. That just kinda puts a negative spin on the day.

sorry to hear this. at least it seems to be pretty rare that anyone dies doin stunts. but guess its bound to happen once in a while. not that it helps much, but the "at least he died doin what he loved" cliche springs immediately to mind. if i gotta go early, its about the best way i can think of.
