..yes I am...heading out to Las Vegas on the 12R...inop thermo switch and all...leaving in about ten minutes...taveling at night...I figure as long as I'm moving, I'll be ok...doing the same thing on the way back tomorrow...I know, I know...this is crazy, but all of my other vehicles are not working or suitable at this time...and I gotta see my family who are visiting there and hopefully winning...wish me luck! 
...oh yeah...weather is gonna be mild 60s~80s...so I guess I'm good to go!

...I'm posting from radioshack in las vegas...made the 280 mile trip in 4 1/2 hours...two stops with one refreshment break...the bike got hot only in the parking structure as I was looking for a parking space...heading back tonite at about 6 pm...I'm up $100 on the slots

...just got back to my casa...and I'm up $200 ...there's something about super-slabbin' it on a moonlit night between 6 and 7 thousand RPMS with an occasional foray into the 10s ...I am reminded again why Ilike this 12R so much...with a Corbin seat, a ZG Dbl Bubble, Helibars, and Ozy's footpeg mod, this bike is the perfect tool for hi-speed GT runs...made the 280-mile trip back in an undisclosed amount of hours that I cannot confirm nor deny ...and that includes three gas-stops and one 15 minute break...had a cage pass me at about a ton-plus north of Barstow and I caught up for a bit then backed off...something told me that Chippie was in the area...good thing I did...the cage was about 400 yards ahead of me when I recognized the familar light profile of a CrownVic right on my tail...I switched lanes and let the slicktop Chippie go by...the black and white caught up the the cage and then the light show began...uh...sorry, pal! ...

Hey... glad to hear you had a safe trip. Are you keeping your 12 on the road this 'winter'? Or are you just going to run your dirt bikes in the mud and the rain?

..thanks, PK!...hey, living in SoCal makes it possible to ride any type of bike year 'round ...just gotta find the time to do it  ...of course, I'd rather ride the KLR/KLX if I'm not in a hurry to get somewhere and there's "dirty detours" to take
