I had a really great time at DGVI!
I just want to let everyone know how much of a great time I had at DGVI. You all are like family to me now. It was amazing to me when it was time to leave how I didn't want to say good bye because the week went by so fast. But any time you are around great people for any length of time, the time will fly and the hours seem like minutes as to how quickly they go by. I wish you guys lived closer so we could ride every weekend together. But if that was the case no body would have driver licenses and we would all have to ride the short bus to work. Its hard to explain to anyone outside of the smackhouse gang that's never attended a DG event how close you get to a fellow rider (not in a sexual way either). The brotherhood and comradery is overwhelming. I know a lot of people but I only have a few friends. Since we've started the gap events I have many more friends that I can call with any problem or share a joke with. If there is a problem, they don't ask why they just ask how they can help, when and where. A special thanks to Roger for helping me get my bike back on the road and for missing a whole day of riding with no questions asked just to fix my bike. Roger is an awesome rider, faster than hell, and when he puts his game face on it's ass. Thanks to Tim the Tool Man / Sherman for tools and supplies that we needed to get the bike going again. Also I'd like to say Sherman has vastly improved since the first DGI. I'd like to give him credit for never giving up on getting better and you can tell that each trip he comes down. He rides within himself and is always positive.
Things I remember over the week:
-Me and Otis riding through the gap on Friday. For a guy who rides mostly the straight roads in the big city, he does a great job on the crooked roads in the mountains.
-Rick, one of the craziest motherfuckers you ever want to be around, I mean that in the a good way, and rides the wheels off of Lil' Red.
-Jon, is a great rider too. He's way ahead of the game than most people with the same amount of time in the saddle.
-Bart is one of the most improved riders I've seen. Every event he gets smoother and faster. He's also one of the funniest motherfuckers you'll ever be around, just don't ride in a van with him after a go-cart race. Sonofabitch is crazy. CAN I get a an AMEN!
-Harry, he's one of the fastest guys I've ever seen that never moves from side to side in the corners on his seat. When you ride behind him you are surprised by how fast you are going when you follow his smooth lines.
-Jim, is a super nice guy and I cannot thank him enough for what he's done for our country. Being ex-military I highly appreciate what he does on a daily basis for our country. Although I didn't get to ride with him a lot, he is very predictable and smooth, and a very good rider. I look forward to riding more with him. Some people make you leary when you ride with them for the first few times, but with Jim I felt very confortable from the git go.
It was great to meet Rob and Norm and they were super nice guys. I had a blast at the cabin talking shit with the both of them. Also I only rode one day with them through the gap and Cherohala, we had a great time.
I didn't get to ride with Jeff or Gene but I hope they both will come down again so we can ride then. I also hope other new people make plans to attend the next event. I truly believe the smackhouse gang does a great job of making everyone feel welcome.
To the ladies, Gina, Kathy, and Kelly. It was very nice to meet you all. You all are wonderful people and Rick, Bart and Jim are lucky guys. Special thank to Kelly for running around with me all day trying to find fucking parts for my bike, and also for serving our country.
Hope to see each and everyone of you in may! Stay safe and stay fast. Lucky

AWESOME!!!!!!!
Mark, it was an awesome time brother. I can't really even put it into words, but you know where I'm comin' from. Hell I wish we were all still there. I miss all of you stupid bastards, we're all one big happy dysfunctional family.

Yup. I had a great time and, as usual, laughed my ass off.
I do wish Jeff wasn't laid up with a bad ankle - he's a hoot on the road. Also very thankful we didn't have any interaction with Tennessee's Finest during my stay.
Mark - you and Melissa make this trip worthwhile. You guys are always looking out for everyone and make sure everyone has what they need to be comfortable. Without your efforts not only would this not happen, but it also wouldn't be pulled off as well as it is.
And all you other modder fookers: You guys are great to be around. Can't wait until May already.
So, how many days is it?
