It may, but it is fairly low octane (87). The octane rating is not as high as some, but it is highly oxyenated (6% or so). Do you have an "honest" 13.5, as in measured, cc'd, etc. Or is that what they told you? I'm sure many of the bikes running the MR9 have 13.5 or higher. But, only testing will tell for sure. I've included what it did on my stock motor, as well as the info on MR9. It made a huge difference on my stocker. If you're leary, contact VP for guidance and a higher motor octane option.

Box Stock - 159.4 hp, 91.1 tq
Muzzy/Jardine, PC3 disconnected, - 167.0 hp, 91.8 tq
Muz/Jar,PC3 connected, Muzzy map, - 167.9 hp, 94.3 tq
Muz/Jar,PC3/MuzMap, VP Ultimate4 fuel - 171.4 hp, 94.8 tq
Muz/Jar,PC3/MuzMap, VP MR9 fuel - 175.3 hp, 95.7 tq
All same plus BMC Race Filters - 176.4 hp, 97.7 tq

MR9
The newest addition to VP's line of AMA Pro Racing fuels for 4-stroke road racing and MX. Makes up to 2-3% more power over our MR1 but with lower octane, making it ideal for 600 and 750 Supersport road racing motorcycles. With proper testing and engine set-up, it will work in some Superbike and Formula Extreme applications as well. There is nothing on the market that makes more power than MR9!

• Color: Clear
• Leaded: 6 grams/gallon
• Motor Octane: 87
• Specific Gravity: .718 at 60° F

Hey,

As well as my 12R I have 1164 bored and stroked 2001 R1. MR10x would probably be a little easier to work with since VP recommend it for "Formula Extreme" type motors. My R1 has +6mm stroke, +2mm bore, Yosh cams, Crower Ti rods and bolts, APE lightened balanced crank, R7 kit valve springs, head work, Flatslides etc etc. 191 rwhp and 99.7 ftlbs!!! It leaves my 12R for dead so I am planning on the same thing for the 12R over the winter.
