The small CF Tank Jackshow listed!

It is always nice to find out that an Idea you have is a good one! Here is the Jackshows CF Tank spoken about on Labusas is a nice tank and from what he says, not out of site in price!

Jack you may want to take your finger out of the picture!

Vincent, what does your new tank cover look like. Or how did you reshape your tank cover? The lower tank cover would make the bike better for smaller people.

There is no "Tank Cover". THis was all done to remove the tank and cover so that there would be more room for my large size to get out of the air!

I'm wondering how carbon-fibre would react to gas? I assume the inside would have to be coated?

The gas lines are mounted as normal for the FI! That is the Pic under the tank. The Top is for Vent line and extra fuel line to run a pump for NOS amd the other one looks like the fuel return line for the FI since I see that fitting missing under the tank is my thinking! He stated that he paid $600 for the tank and will see if the guy wants to make more and if that is the price!

BTW, It is extremely comfortable to lay on the flat frame! Nothing pushing into your mid section and I can lay flat on top of the bike lower than "Chad", Dan's son who you can see the imprint of the gas cap through his back!

Dave, Back in the day, all of my race tanks were made out of Fiberglass and no problem. Ducatihad several street bikes with glass tanks and with an unpainted part to see how much gas was left. Since CF is better than Glass in many ways and the fact that I have seen several full sized 12 fuel tanks made out of CF, I would think they would hold up "Better" than the fiberglass which lasted longer than steel which if proper care is given, forever!

I would only want that tank if I was Land Speed Racing or Drag Racing and wanted to be very low on the bike! It is nothing to use on the street! I am making mine fron a stock broken tank! Remember the drain lines that were breaking in the tanks! Groove's tank was cracked right at the outlet inside the tank. This made it perfect for me to hook up a line for wet NOS!

Jack is checking with his friend right now to see if he will make more and to verify the price. I know that Rickey Gadson wanted to buy his tank even before I posted the pictures. I do not know if he bought it or not!

Three things! First, I know that Rickey asked for the tank. Second thing is in Hawaii, it is sort of like dealing with the UK but for different reasons. Read no hurry, laid back British sense of urgency vs New York minute

Last, My read on your statements (Not saying that I don't understand them) DOes the price include shipping? Does the tank come with the Fuel pump? "Could" be misunderstood and look like the something for nothing. WHen you buy a tank from Kawasaki, Used at a Junk yard (Unless you have never done this before) Never include anything. Take the Hawaii laid back with no sense of urgency and you have what I think Could be happening. $400 is a very good price for a tank worth $600. Sometimes when dealing with people like me, I just do not deal! Remember when dealing with someone not in "Business", they do not need to sell anything to anyone and can be very fickel specially when it comes to a "1" off part. Not the same, read the short story below and hopefully it will help you understand an attitude that is not money driven and how easy it is to lose out on a unique opportunity!

I was selling a used set of Bear stacks to a few Board members here. I had 2 sets of used but three people wanting to buy. Then one person backed out of the set deal, stating that "They did not want to buy a Used set of "stacks" anymore (even with all new "0" Rings). By that time, I had gotten some special made Purple ones and made the offer to the others for New or Used. Then this person wanted the new set. When someone backs out of a deal with me, no problem, but I will never do business with them again! He got very upset with me when I refused to sell to him period. He even threatened to "Trash" my name all over the boards. Trust me, I have not and will not sell him anything ever! I am very poor and money just does not mean that much to me, specially when it comes to someone that has pissed me off! This guy could be the exact same way. After all, he and his friends do not even care that much about shoes!

If you want the Pump, I would "Edit" the post to read Are you selling the pump with the tank? How much "Extra" do you want for the Pump?

Vincent excuse me for me BAD english I´m not so good in writing english, sorry if I have been missunderstood!
I pay for the pump, just wondering if tank was with or without pump. And I have not asked if that includes shipping! ( I think? )

He has sent me a pm I have answered him but now his "gone" It was because of that I asked you Vincent if you are talking with him.
If typing is poor than me speaking is worse.... (So the best is if I dont have to speak with him just type emails)
I asked him if he can talk to the guy if he can make one more tank, I saw that Rickey was interested in the tank, but in the PM jackshows said that the tank was not sold, I´m not inerested to go before anyone in the "cue"
Thanks

My apology! You write better than a lot of people that have no excuse, plus you can be understood in several languages and me barely one! From how I read your post, it looked like you were asking for more than what he was selling every step of the way and sometimes when you do this, people can get real tired of it quickly and you lose everything! I will send him a direct e-mail and see if he will tell me what the deal is or see if he will close the deal by getting in touch with you! Isn't it starting Winter in Sweeden

No Problem Vincent!

Very nice if you could contact him, I would be very glad for that, Vincent.

In one month it will be snow here in the northern part of Sweden where I live. Actually I live 250 kilometers above the Arctic circle.
It is not as cold as you think because of the Gulfstream. We have not winter all the time and icebears running around in the streets O=)
