{OT} anyone live near Jacksonville NC?
Won an ebay auction (it was a steal) and the jackass is trying to rape me on the shipping prices.

He is claiming it is costing him 60 dollars to ship a 10 dollar item 2 states away. (I live in NE florida).
Ive been going back and forth with this putz....even getting quotes from fedex.com and ups.com show shipping isnt more than 20 dollars....he wont budge on shipping charges. Its obvious he doesnt want to sell it since it didnt fetch what he was looking for on ebay.
Anywhoo...is anyone close? Id rather pay you to ship it to me instead

Bri.... Ive got a UPS account. If he wants to box it up.. I can have UPS pick it up. Just need to know the weight.

he claims its 60 lbs....however I have another converter sitting here in the garage..it only weighs 35.
Ive never seen a 4L60E converter weigh more than 40lbs...even full of fluid.

MAYBE HE'S ADDING IN THE COST OF (fukkn capslok) having it packed. I use Postnet to do packing and they can be $30 just for getting something odd sized ready for shipment. just thinking out loud????

Well... the other surcharge maybe because you're in a residential area. UPS likes to surcharge for that... but i doubt more than $5.

sorry YCIS....I dont know anyone out that way...had a buddy stationed at Bragg, but he left last year.......We have to have someone on this board near Fayetteville, Or in Jacksonville its self....look through the members list and pm someone tht is close....best I can do for ya.....

I wouldnt consider a round disc 12" in diameter and 8" thick something "odd sized"
