7 DAYS!! Threw my back out yesterday.
7 days boys, can't wait to get the fuck out of Detroit. In the meantime I'm dealing with some heavy drugs and a good deal of back pain. Pulled a muscle in the grocery store yesterday. One of those freak things that ya can't explain. Was with Alli while Michelle was working. Reached down to grab a case of Coke and POW! Pulled a muscle. Hurt so fucking bad I was laying on the floor of Farmer Jacks. Alli is sitting in the cart kinda freaking out like Daddy GET UP! Another patron asks if I'm OK and I say at the minute no. She goes and gets the manager and the next thing you know there are 3 employees standing there looking at me while I lay on the floor. If any of you have pulled a back muscle before you know what I'm talking about. It paralyzes you for a few minutes. The manager loaded up all the groceries in my truck and a neighbor helped me bring them in the house. Started popping Vicodin for the rest of the day. This morning I could barely get out of bed the fucker is so sore. Ahh shit, figures. Anyway, 7 DAYS MF's!!!!

Well as long as................
Well as long as your neck muscles are ok.
Just kiddin' C, I know where you're at and it is no fun. It usually happens to me just as it did to you. Not while picking up something heavy, just happens while doing something you wouldn't twice about. I hope you mend up before the trip as that could be a biatch on long rides. Take it easy for the rest of the week. Try some herbal remedies if you get a chance.

I know Rick you'd think my back wouldn't have went out when I was carrying the new dishwasher up the stairs by myself, not a fucking case of Coke!?!?! WTF? I am going to take it easy. I was thinking the same thing, how will it feel on long rides? I hope by next week it's a distant memory.

Hey Norm! What's up brother. What time are you leaving for the Gap Tuesday? DO you need directions to the cabins? I'll call you later today. 7 days...
And as far as your keyboard, it's a little known fact that you can actually wash them. Pull it apart and wash it with a warm soapy mix and rinse it thoroughly then let it dry completely before using again. Should take care of your Coke problem.

Sorry to hear about your back, muh man. I've noticed that as I've gotten older I'm getting more and more out of bed all crocked, leaned over and generally sore in the morning.
Think a chiroprator will help? Prolly better than popping pills.
.....but as long as you keep your mouth muscles in shape....

I don't have the attention span for that. I'd buy another one.

I thought about a Chiropractor Jon but it is a muscle problem so there probably isn't much he can do. Although I am in need of an alignment. Mental and Skeletal. LOL

Hydrocodone deals with Nerves very well and does not have a heavy dose of drugs! For the Muscles, parafonforte is a great muscle relaxer!
I did mine in the early 70's stepping out of the back of my van the way I had always done and I hurt myself so bad that my arm was too heavy to lever in front of me! It is unbelievable just how little and how quick you can hurt yourself!
Tell me have you asked from the man on high to "just breath without it hurting"? A painless breath of air is totally underated?

Vinnie, are those over the counter? The Vicodin's I have been taking are the one's my wife had left over from surgery and there is only one left. I don't want to go to a doctor to get a scrpit for a pulled muscle but I'd buy an over the counter med if it worked as you say.
Yes I did ask the man that exact question yesterday. The pain is not as acute today but stunning nonetheless.

No they are not over the counter, "BUT" they can be called in! If you have a "Reasonable" relationship with your doctor and can call him, then you have a good chance by saying what you did and (You felt the Muscle just tighten up) and ask for a muscle relaxer like Para-fon-for-te' or the Generic and something for the pain! (Tell him from having different bike accidents and all type of pain releivers, Some heavy ones just made you drowsy, but you could feel the pain or they removed you and the pain like Percoset. Then there were some that did nothing. The lightest one you can remember that worked was Hydrocodone. You could take one at night and sleep and one when you needed to get out of bed and that would be all you needed!) Remember, most of us hate to take pills and be out of control and this one does the best! Remember I went through 8 operations and never got even close to addicted on this pill! Matter of fact, I gave my pills away to a family member that is a lot older and has pain everyday!

Thanks Vinnie but the way my doc works, and don't get me wrong I love her, she is an excellent physician but she would never call in a script for me without seeing me 1st. I think I'll take the last Vicodin when I get home then live on some Advin for a few days and tough it out.

I am already on record since the 70's with my Back trouble so they no longer need to "Look". Since this can be a reacurring problem, maybe you should go in now and get on record so you do not go through more than necessary "Next" Time! I did not know that this was your "First" time! (Youngsters!)

It's not actually, it happened once two years ago when I went to open the window in our bedroom. THe same thing happened, the next thing I knew I was laying on the floor of my bedroom thinking what the fuck? It takes as much effort to open that window as it does to lift a can of beer. Crazy isn't it? The things that cause a pulled muscle in your back?
