air shifter question

OK, so I'm installing my air shifter this weekend. I've got just about everything figured out except where to mount the solenoid. I am being told to make sure that the air line from the solenoid to the air ram is as short as possible....preferable about 6". That would mean that I have to mount the solenoid on the frame somewhere.

Anyone here running an electric over air setup on a ZX-12? Where did you mount your solenoid?

i just got mine operating properly. i built a bracket to mount mine going forward to the water pump. spencer cycle has a very nice bracket system for this application. it is true about the electric solenoid being close to the ram thats what my problem was . i had the sol. under my seat. at first .with the ram mounted this way you need a lot of pressure i use 160 psi. i have the co2 high pressure with the spencer cycle adj. regulator . its the bomb for this setup.
