Billet block/billet crankshaft combo

Does anybody have both?
I look at Muzzys website, and there is that billet crankshaft with billet block doesn't have starter drive.
But if billet block goes with stock/welded crankshaft, and 60mm crankshaft goes with stock/bored block, I think that they will work together too. Am I wright??

Offtopic: Sorry about my spelling, english is not my native language and I have take few beers. But that is because winter is coming and it start to be fucking cold here in north...

Mika,
We now offer the 60mm welded stroker (with starter drive) which gives a 1375 (bored stock block) or a 1427 (with billet block) configuration. We have been testing the welded stroker in our race bikes for quite sometime and now have the confidance to offer this as an alternative to the billet crank. Ordering information on this will be on the Muzzy web site in a day or so.

I have Muzzys welded crank now, but I want billet because of reliability. I use nitro on track, and drive +20000 km on street/year.
Muzzys stroker have been very good for me, but in long run I want something stronger...
My block is also bored on biggest size what is available at JE, and my opinion is that billet will be better with nitrous, because cylinder walls start to be very thin now...

Thank You

Mika,

I have (i hope my wife doesn't see this!):
billet block
billet crank with starter drive.
=1427cc

They work GREAT together, just don't let the compression get too high. If you get serious about building this set up we should talk as I have tried and pretty much documented lots of variations on a theme!

Yes, propably I will build engine in winter.
Now I am checking if similar parts are available in europe, because of huge taxes when ordering parts outside EU.
Or then I have to fly in USA and bring parts with me, still cheaper than order them.

Doug or Entropy -

With putting stroker motors on the 12R or whatnot (to increase displacement) has the (presumably) increased rotational mass changed the handling characteristics of a 12R on a road course?

I'm assuming not but thought I'd ask.

I believe the rotational mass on MOST of stroked motors is less. Mainly because of other mods that the mind of a man that strokes a motor must also do..........ie: lighter rods, no balancer, lighter pistons, lighter crank....blah blah blah

Handling characteristics always change with more torque.

Jon,
I don't notice any engine-related, handling charcteristics difference, but then again, my "road course" has only one rh turn at the end of the 1/4 mi shut down area as I "rail" onto the return road at 15mph...

Mika,
I could maybe tote yr parts over the pond when I visit Kazakstan in mid Oct. I am not sure which intermediate airport I'll go thru, but prolly Budapest or Amsterdam. Might be too complicated to arrange??? Anyway, if I can help, just say so.

Thank You for your proposition, but maybe it is too complicate to get time schedules correct.
And I can take also little vacation when i go to USA.

I haven't call yet Muzzys, that do they have parts in stock, or how long delivery time they have.

I take trip next week till Intermot, Milano, and will be 2 weeks riding bike all over europe.
After that i start do something for buying those parts.
If I need help, I will take contact.

Best Regards
Mika Salonen
