DGVI guys. Question.

If I order a new set of clutch plates. Will any of you help me install them at the cabin one evening?

Yep....

Yeah dude, I'll help you. Print out the stuff on the clutch from the service manual so we'll have all our torque specs and I'll bring the necessary tools. Just remind me again before the trip to bring my torque wrenches and everything.

Thanks Rick. I have and will bring all the tools necessary, except the torque wrenches. I rode into work this morning and the clutch just doesn't feel right. I have never done it before and don't want to take a chance of fucking it up. I know you all have much much more knowledge of this stuff and I figured with your experience it can be done in no time.

Now who should I order it from? Muzzy? Ron Ayers? I don't need to go into getting a new hub or anything right? Just the plates? I mean I have 21,000 miles on the original clutch so I think just the plates would be sufficient yes?

Steels

I'm wondering,....with that many miles I bet your steels are probably needing replaced. I don't know if you can order the thicker Muzzy steels or not. Being that you got that many miles out of the stock steels I wouldn't be scared to go back with the same setup.

I'd say get the parts from Ron Ayers. Their prices are hard to beat.

Yeah, that'll work. I got an idea. We can get Bart to lie face down with his ass exposed. First one to "sink" a clutch disc in his asshole from 50ft. wins a free "knobjob". Knobjob is a courtesy from,.....you guessed it, "The Chitown Chicken Choker". LOL!!!!!!
