Attention All You Sumbiatches.............
Get yer shit together asap. DGVI is almost upon us and I can't wait. My friggin' parts may not arrive on time so I'm a little bummed by that, but I know it'll all work out. Getting 3 tires mounted tomorrow, and I serviced my truck this weekend. I'm pretty much ready other than the crap I ran into on the stator.

I'm sure they'll be here in time, didn't you order from Ron Ayers? They are 7-10days no?
My clutch plates better be here on time.

Rick, I had the exact same thing happen to me, Routing the stator wire through the engine /frame was a MAJOR BITCH for me and took several hours to do.
If all goes well at work, I will be there with the "war wagon" and plan on it being better set up the ever before (air tools/compressor, 500w halogen lights, et. al.). Anything you or Chris could possibly need... I'll have it in the wagon. Except the parts, of course.

Sherman, You've got mail.
Otis,
Yeah they said 7-10 business days. I ordered them last Thursday, but figuring in the holiday it could put them here as late an next Friday. That will NOT be cool. I wanted to have a few days to shakedown the bike, but may not have that luxury. As Harry would say "Two tears in a bucket,.....fuck it".

Rick, I'll be mailing out your package today. Should have it for the weekend.
Chris, don't forget to bring some oil to soak your fiber plates in and replace the little bit in the bike that you'll lose from the exchange. I ain't letting you use any of my MX4T.

You da man.....
Sherm,
You coulda just usps'd it to a brother, but I know that ain't the elk's style. I appreciate it man, unlike some worthless fucks, I really do.
Went to my buds shop tonight to get 3 tires mounted and balanced. He just got a new snap-on balancer, but dig this, has no clue as to how it operates. He did get it calibrated right before I left, but I figure it may be a day or so before I get my skins back. Other than me just wanting to have my new rear on tonight it's no big deal. The bike is up on the Pit Bulls awaiting the parts from Ron Ayers.
It's all a big waiting game right now, a game that I don't excel at.

Rick, I was just too damn lazy to go look up the tracking number. I figure if you don't get it on Friday, havin' the tracking number ain't gonna matter.
I'll be putting on the new Corsas on this weekend, even though it looks like the ones that are on there now are not even half worn. I think that this will be the first Gap event that I have not done a "Elk Tear Down" prior to going. I figure I'll change the oil & filter, check a few bolts and be ready to go.
The bike might not be getting as much attention, but the "War Wagon" is. Since Jonathan is talkin' smack about goin' racin' next year, I figure I'll practice setting up the trailer as if we were going to the track. Just about the only thing I won't be bringing is the 6.5KW portable generator.

WTF? That would mean they sent it NEXT DAY AIR, not 2nd Day. Oh well. I'll get that back from you after I stuff you in three or four corners and that'll be before we even make it to the highway from the cabins.

HDL, the only way I'd "stuff 3 or 4 corners" on any of those MF'ers would be if I was changing the sheets on their beds and I ain't goin' ANYWHERE NEAR that part of thier cabin!

You'll get your chance I believe.....
Sherm your day may be coming since on some of the rides I'll have the misses on board.
BTW - The package is labeled 2nd Day Air. I'm wondering if standard ground from LR is only a day. We're not that far apart ya know. HHHhhhmmmmm.......?

I'm with ya on that HDL. I have ridden all of 600 miles since the May trip and a total of approximately 2000 miles all fucking year. Since I started riding street bikes 14 years ago I was easily riding 15-20K miles a summer, not this year. I think I'll ride clean up with Bart, then again Bart has like 49,000 track days this summer so he may be in front of me too.

more than welcome to come on down here Rick....its as cheap as you can get for the track@ 135.....there is never more than 10 people on the track at a time...emergency crews and crash truck are present....minimal equipment is required....nad its a great time with a great bunch of guys...and of course ya have a place to stay.....can do it pretty cheap really....most costly thing for me now is tires......350 bucks for a set of H2's mounted and balanced.......

Hallett in Oklahoma outside of Tulsa is $80. Full crew and whatnot. We go rather frequently. Short track, though. 12 would be work.
Highly recommend track days. But I'm beginning to think it's just not worth it to ride on the street anymore. Just not as much fun. Kinda hard to explain to the police that 90 really isn't that fast....
