WHATS YOUR GUESS
Was out basting on the roads for a few hours.On the way home cruising in the fast lane around 80 mph the engine totally shut off. Gauges still lit but needles go to zero.On the side of the road engine will crank but wont fire.Tow it home.Today I find the 15 amp ecu fuse blown(fuse is 16 years old. I am an 12 volt electronics guy by day.A fuse does not blow for sport............Whata think..........I put in a new fuse and it runs like a champ.

do you have a power commander installed? also believe freek had this issue?

a1 back to stock.I have owned it since new.Has a 2003 engine that was brand new on it now for almost 3 years.5000 miles.No fi light on.

is there possibly a not obvious dead short somewhere in the harness? sagot had this with an sv650 and a fairing screw.pushing on the harness by mistake. does it blow again if you replace it?
