Nitrating front fork tubes gold Hi guys......Anybody ever had their fork tubes Nitrated? I'm doing mine gold, and was curious about longevity of the finish. I think it will look pretty cool with the bottom of my forks painted black to match the frame. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Cliff

RaceTech used to offer that as a service. If I remember right, they stopped because the finish wasn't that durable.

I know Linderman Suspension in the Bay Area does it. I seem to remember a price of $400 per set of tubes. I can't find the damn website again tho....gggrrrrr...

Yes, I too was talked out of the nitriding because of the *street* miles I do. Being in sandy FL wouldnt help it much either. It does help, but at $400+ is it worth it?? Being that the Ohlins forks are $900/ tube you money may be better invested there.
