Harley and 12's

How many of you own a harley besides your 12? I bought a 03 FatBoy yesterday and now it will sit between the two 12's in the garage, hope they don't fight too much.

'01 Dyna. Only because I got a deal absolutely too good to pass up. I will double my money when I sell it, so I can buy the new ZX10. The best part of the whole thing is that I'll be able to keep my 12 also!

88 FLHTC Bike is good in the snow and every time I wiped out I rode it home.I T-Boned a cop car and still rode the bike home.Rice riders don't like harleys and the harley owners don't like the crotch rockets.Me,I like them both for what they're good for, riding, they're just bikes.

I'm getting a Fat Boy next year ($$) permitting. Hogs are nice bikes too, just a VERY different purpose (going slow and comfortable) than the 12 (going like a bat out of hell and raising your adrenaline ).

Where the heck have you been!?!?!?

I have learned to understand? them for what they are...
I get to ride/map, jet a lot of them on the dyno and test ride on the street...
The Injected Twin Cam models are actualy relatively smooth and have a surprising amount of throttle responce/go juice...

I grew up on HD and chopper (my pops is in a motorcycle club, called a gang back in the day Brothers of the Wheel out of WV) Well when I am home I get on his chopper (stretched out 9'3/4", spikes and all) I like to ride it, but I am not ready for that yet. But DAMN I look good it, all 6'3" and 240lbs of U.S. Marine. I got to get home, time to ride with my dad. He can't ride my 12R, can't hardly touch the ground, once I put my new swing arm on and lower it, I will get him on it.

the first street bike I ever rode was my dads 58 Sportster...back in the day I thought it was the shit. Then I bought my own bioke, a 1975 CB 750 Honda....then I realized his Harley wasnt THE SHIT, it was just shit. Dad recently bought an 02 Ultra Glide Classic, he kept telling me how comfortable it was and that he was gonna ride it down from MI to GAS to visit me. He trailered it down to GA, and when he went riding with us(my brother on a GSXR 1000, and me on my 12) we were stopping every 100 miles or so so he could get off his HARLEY and stretch. Now I will give ya that dad does have a bad back, but dam...that is suppose to be one of Harleys top of the line for comfort. And man is it slow.......But on a positive note, it is full of style, and a chick magnet. It is fun to watch my dad who is 54 get hit on by a bunch of 25 year old women....Still my opinion of a Harley would be, I am not gonna spend that much money on a bike unless it does something special. If I were gonna buy a full dresser, it would be a Goldwing, if I wanted an everyday bike, I have my 12. And for my days at the track, I have my 6R....they have a place just like all bikes, its just not in MY garage....just my opinion....Jim

I've always like the Springer Softtail for it's unique front suspension. Would I buy one? Naw... I'd buy TWO of something else if I had that kind of money.

Money is not a problem, just wanted one to ride the wife on with friends. Its kinda fun when you see all the shit they offer at HD dealerships, this one has a large lounge with pool table, large plasma Tv, free food and fountain drink's.

I have started working on the HD to follow the lines of dis one

Fat Boy. That's what I'd get if I got one. Too many things on the toy list above that though.

I rode a Springer Softail the other night. It was OK!!

I didn't EVEN like my brother's Softail Custom when I rode it. Only rode it up town about a mile to eat, and then straight back. Didn't even try to pimp it :-) TOOOOOO noisy and TOOOOO heavy. Might have been fine on the highway, though.

I always tell the Harley guys.... "If I wanted to ride a couch, I'd stay at home!"

If I were gonna do a big twin it would be a Ironhorse, or a big dog. The Vegas is nice, I am gonna go test ride one at the dealer this weekend.
