How to make your ZX12R feel 50 lbs lighter!

Ride another bike like a Blackbird, or in my case, a ZZR1200. Put a big heavy Corbin seat on it. Load it down with the Corbin Beetle Bags. Yes, it's heavy, but just the ticket for the long haul. Now jump of that bike that prolly weighs over 700 lbs without the rider, and get on your 12. Wow! This thing feels light! Even better, check the tire pressures, and bring them up to spec. Wow, it even turns!

Just stay off my ZX6-R. Fish_Antlers started calling his ZX12-R a 'Land Slug' shortly after taking my bike out for a spin!

hey PK, I have an 01 ZX6R that Kelly rides and is my track bike. When I go up to the mountains and ride the 12, and then jump on the 6 it makes me wonder how I even ride the 12 up there....

HDL - if Fish_Antlers reads your post and gets the idea that my ZX6-R should be HIS track bike, I will be seriously pissed!!!
But since I have the Suspension set up for me, and not him, it makes it ALL mine baby!
Do you two weigh the same? Same height etc?
If you truely wanted her to get the most out of her ride - then you would get the suspension tuned up for her.

My 00 is carborated.
I have seen Fish_Antlers suffer through a Beta version of Fuel injection with the 00 ZX12-R.
Something I wouldn't have the patience to do.
I would have set his bike on fire on the side of the road along time ago - if it was mine!
The muzzy clutch and the pc3, made this trip to Laguna the first one that we didn't end up on the side of the road fixing his 12 - or at least swearing at it.
My ZX6-R 00, was perfect out of the box.
Makes me feel like my bike likes me.
Especially when I see all the Shit the Zx12-R has put Fish_antlers through!

lol, it is caburated....the suspension is set up for me. It was my bike first, and being as she doesnt ride hard we left the suspension set for me. We weigh close to the same, so its not bad for her. The 6 has a full Muzzy pipe, a K&N filter, and has been jetted. it now has shark skinz on it, and is race prepped. But still street leagle, well almost. and the Pirelli Corsa's really make it handle. But the 01 just can compare to the new 03's....got to talk it over with momma some more see if she is gonna bless of on a new one, or if I am gonna have to beg....wish me luck ya'll.

I knew it was lighter when I would push it around in the yard and then go to the ZX11 and with the same amount of strenght, the 11 did not move at all!

swft - I've got that beat. When crowbar myself off my 750 pound, horrible handling Harley after a Saturday cruize, and jump on the 12 to go drag some knee Sunday morning, I feel absolutely immortal. I'd swear I'm ready to go back to the Suzuka 8 hour and try again!!!

Mt 6R doesnt run anything like my 12R...but it is fun in its own respect, and it handles so much better than the 12. It just doenst paint stripes the same way as the 12......

The 6R was so much fun on the street that my next bike (who know when that will be) would probably be a Kawasaki 600 of some sort.

I could see you on a 636 Necro, but I'm sure that you'd want a 6RR, with the race kit.

swft the race kits fit in the 636's as well....was approved on a RR and Kelly is making me wait until March to buy another 600. But I might have to check out the new 10R if it comes out.....we shall see.

swft, I barely touch my bike. If I ever get the 6RR, I'd have to mess with the adjustable swing arm. Do you think I'd touch that thing in hundred years? The adjustment would probably rust.
