Though I've never met Zhool, I feel like I've known him through the board. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and I am so saddened by his passing. He will be missed by so many on this board. Swft, please forward these posts to his family at an appropriate time so they'll know how many lives he has touched. Lucky

I did not know the man you are talking about, but it seems that he has touched so many of your lives. You are truly blessed to have had such a man touch your lives, God Speed Zhooligan, you are safe in Heaven, and many of my Marine Brothers are guarding Heavens gates. SEMPER FI, and tell my friend Kreg Davis (killed while home on leave) that I said Hi and miss him deeply.

I met Zhooligan in Seattle last year. One hell of a great guy. You know when you meet someone and you can just tell that they are a "Real" person (No BS about him). He is the kind of guy that you just like right off the bat.
I am very sad to hear about this. I know that I will personally miss him on this board. I really enjoyed reading his lighthearted post. We were hoping to catch up with him again next year if we go out to WA.
Very, Very Sad to hear this. Please let his family know that they have my deepest sympathy. RIP my friend.
Swft,
Do you have an address of the funeral home or where I can send a card/flowers? You can e-mail it to me at zx12girl@yahoo.com
A very sad,

I had a great time meeting both you Larry and Don when we were down there a while ago. Your passion for motorcycles and complete honesty without being braggarts was refreshing to me.
Don was definitely one of the Good Guys!! RIP Don.
Let me know if you need anything Larry.

Here is one of Zhooligan's deep thoughts - quote: posted April 17, 2003 07:11 PM

i can't say i knew zhooligan all that well, having only met him in person twice, but i knew him well enough to really like him, which means i communicated with him at least once. as most everyone here can attest to, that's all it took to like the guy. zhooligan was probably the most likable guy i ever met. a personality that was comforting and fun to be around. he made u feel immediately at ease. he was a joy to talk too as he always had something interesting to say and he could carry a conversation beautifully. he was modest and humble a guy as i ever met, which is saying quite something as from what i gather he was very successful in life at just about everything he did, including life at it's core. and this is what makes his passing especially tragic. zhooligan truly lived life to the fullest. he took the time to smell the roses, or the sweet smell of race exhaust in our case. he didnt get wrapped up too much in work (something that happens to most business owners) to forget to enjoy life. and of course most importantly, he truly loved his family. i remember exchanging a quick message with him when he was at laguna where he said he's hurrying home because he already missed his family too much, and this was only after a few days. he mentioned how lucky he felt to have such a great family on 2 or 3 occasions in the time i talked to him, which is again quite something considering how few times we conversed. basicallyy, he was jsut a guy that got everything right, and this is what makes his loss such an incredible injustice.
it seems that whenever someone leaves this world in an untimely fashion, everyone talks about how wonderful they were, and it's usually exagerated. zhooligan is a shining example of a case where everything good said about him is truly 100% deserved, and then some. i believe i speak for everyone when i say his presence will be sorely missed. he was supposed to join me for sportbikewest in a matter of weeks and i was very much looking forward to his company. now i will just have his spirit to accompany me. i wish i could have more.
sleep well Don.

I wish there was something more I could do to help. Saying RIP just seems too short and doesn't convey my feelings very well. I wish I could come up with something more to say or something more meaningful.
I hope for nothing but the best for those who survive him and knew him, both family and friends.

I Have Been Blessed With enough pain-To allow me to feel to the fullest, the joy of living. With enough problems-To help me grow to my fullest potential in this life. With enough character defects-To keep me humble, when experiencing the defects of others. With enough turmoil-So that I can fully enjoy the quiet times in life. With enough rejection-So that I can fully appreciate the unconditional love that I now find in my life. With enough fear-To teach me the peacefulness of faith.
Life just sucks when I hear news like that It's not always easy.
