A passing
It's with sorrow and fond remembrance that I must let everyone know that Zhooligan passed away today. He was a good friend, a business partner and a confidante that I completely trusted. His passing has left a big hole in my life, and he will be missed by many. His wit, charm and completely giving nature made him the best friend I had.
Don was riding his Yamaha Raptor ATV down near Coos Bay, OR today. He was riding with three other guys, and got a lot of air off one of the razorback ridges in the dunes down there. While in mid-air, he got seperated from the ATV and on landing, suffered massive trauma to his spine.
He was declared DOA upon reaching the nearest medical center.

Wow! I was hoping that I was mis understanding this post or somthing.
I cant believe it !
ZH was a great contributor here.
Well he died having fun doing what he liked, I guess its better than laying in a hospital bed with cancer or somthing in pain for months and months.
When its my time I'd choose somthing quick, when I'm doing somthing I really enjoy.
RIP ZH

SWFT,
This breaks my heart, I know it must be tough on you.
Being from Washington state I was looking forward to my next trip back and visiting with him.
Like Y2K said, he was enjoying himself. We choose this lifestyle and it is a risky one for sure.
Godspeed Z, you will be missed.

swft, this is awful news. This saddens me in a huge way, but I can't begin to imagine how you feel. Zhooligan was a great contributor and I enjoyed his post. HE and I saw "eye to eye" on most issues, and even though I didn't know the guy personally, I still felt like I did. Hang tough swft, we are all here for you brother.
My condolences to his family, and to all his friends. I am certain that he will be missed very much by all.

Larry,
I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. In the short time that I knew Don, I saw a real human being who was always willing to help, and always wanted to do the right thing. He was a man of great depth, intelligence, and wit, and I will miss him too. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Also, if it's okay with his family, I'd appreciate being able to say one last good bye.
Prov 18:24
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks
closer than a brother. (NIV)
So sorry for you, his family, and everyone who knew Don as friend ...

Our prayers go out to his family and wishes of consolation to all his friends here.

My heart and prayers go out to his family and to all those that he has touched with his humor, knowledge and most importantly... his friendship. Something I feel he shared with all of us. Though his post count won't increase, his presence on this forum will always be felt and will last forever.
Godspeed, Brother Z... Godspeed
