zx12r oil light SCARED SH1TLESS
Ive read a good bit about the oil light on here and NOW IM SCARED
Did I just waste 3k on a bike with a trashed engine?
Here are the symptoms im experiencing
When you sit on the bike, and rev it hard one time, the oil light flickers on/off and the idle drops to the point the engine about dies
Only happens if you rev the bike to about 10,000, oil level is good
Give it a small amount of throttle and all is fine, idle returns light stops flickering
Going to take it to a local shop I know that is very good and very reasonable
Clogged oil pump pickup maybe?
Im really hoping the bearings arent toast.......

Okay so I did some more reading, idled the bike up to 1300-1400 with the adjustment screw, issue is completely gone!!!!
Im guessing the idle was set much too low, which caused it to stumble on decell and not return to idle, oil light was flickering because of the lack of pressure at very low rpm
Gonna run it by french and sons this weekend, have the valves/tensioner adjusted.
Bring it home, service it, and ride the wheels of of it.
