Laguna Crap!

First of all i was asking to the staff where was fox hill... it doesn't exist, just wolf hills... what a BS.
Than spend 5 hours walking going up and down the hill to look for any Tshirt, hat, banner, flag indicating Labusas.org... Bull Shit... NONE

I was wearing My themotorhead Tshirt white.
I saw some Hayabusas with no stickers .. just four 2002 12's ....NADA.

I'm so pist off.
I saw a black flag with a skull that all.

Do never get those regular general passes it suck.
Couldn't go there and there and over there..
couldn't see shit, comerciales banners on the track can't see shit from the gates..
real disapointement
The tents stores got the places just next to the track... couldn' t see shit ether.

Luckly we went to Capitola and had a blast there....

...there were signs that pointed the way to foxhill camping...the bikeland banner arrived friday afternoon (I know..I delivered)...the Labusa banner arrived saturday evening (I know...I help BigGar and Burly set it up)...there was a pink ribbon surrounding 'our' area...and we had the only authorized firepit on the hill...

...you're right about some vendor tents blocking most of the prime track views, though...and the restroom facilities still suck and are a health hazard...SCRAMP, YOU GUYS LISTENING????

If you were there on Sunday, the banner left around noon.

I saw it! And I most assuredly saw signs saying Fox Hill. For the record Gozr if you were to stand in turn 6 and luck at the big hillside between you and the pits that would be Fox Hill.

I can believe you though about a lack of info and what not from the Laguna people. I swear every year the peopl working the track become less informed!

Yes i agree the peoples working there are realy not imformed.. mainly when you think that one of the place i went to ask was at the imformation stand...

What make my desapointement is not the fact to not see the race because that wasn't the reason i went down to laguna. but to meet with all the members. My wife and I.

When you ask where Fox hill is you won't get an answer. I did find signs that led me right to it.

I found the facilities great at the Holiday Inn on Cannery Row. Close to the good restaurants both on and off the row, lots of night time things, the ocean, scuba diving, kayak rentals, lots of seals, otters etc. A 2 block ride or walk to Baskin and Robbins (chocolate Banana shakes), easy parking instead of the crazy street parking and the people that run the place treat us golden.

For the record also, if you have not gone the paddock suit way at a place like Laguna your missing out. The tickets are around $350 for three days. On the face that sounds pricey. But what you get is, parking, all your food (breakfast and lunch) and beverages (beer, wine, magaritas, soda, bottled water, Mikes Hard lemonade etc. When you leave the suite to look around you can throw a a few beverages in your bag even) your program, shaded elevated seating, television monitors to watch the whole race on as well as current times etc., bathrooms with running water etc. If you calculate your costs for what you spend on parking, general addmission tickets, a paddock/pit pass and your food beverages purchased at the track you will find that the price is not bad at all. Plus the suite gives you a base to work from. You can leave your stuff safely there and come and go as you please.

We were in the turn 4 paddock suite this year and in between races we played mardi gra with beer and beads as the ladies walked by in front of us. The walkway for the public is between the track and the suit and is about 16 feet below the suite. So for beer and beads the ladies would show us their hooters. Got pretty crazy and damn funny at times. One young attractive asian lady walked by and appeared to ignore us, she contiued on past with her boyfriend and when she was a 100 or so feet past us she sprinted back and pulled her top off and gave us a great shot and then sprinted off. Didn't even have to throw her some beads or even a beer!

The suite experience varies a little each year but it sure is the best deal in my book.

I can also say that the suite experience at Daytona is a blast as well.

I hate to tell you this, but the camping is just a convenience for those who want to stay at the track so they let them. It probably barely shows up on their radar screen. When they say camping they mean it. Me, I'm a realist, my idea of roughing it is an Embassy Suites.

I got scared when I only saw 4 shitters at the top, but there were fewer people in total on the hill, so it didn't get used much... thank god.

He (Swft) loaded his ZZR in my truck and drove back with me. We made the 935 mile trip in 14 hours flat. Lost a half hour in Portlands rush hour.

Hey Ted I enjoyed dinner with you Saturday night. The filet and lobster we had was great. Isn't camping great?!

Hey GOZR - I've got friends all through the bay, but the best stop for me is over in Manteca. I did run over to 1 via 580 midweek just to check it out. Maybe next time!

I may just take you up on that offer next year GOZR. Next time before going we can hook up via cell phone or something. It's fun to meet the various people on the board. Saturday night while waiting to meet for dinner I got a call from Ted G. He was letting me know where he was at and how to identify him. As he was saying all this, I merely said I'll bet your the guy with the Kawi coat talking on his cell phone looking at me 50 feet away!

Motorcycles span generations, countries, politics, genders you name it.

Wish I had been there with you guyz.
I hope to go to the Mardi Gra over in New Orleans next year. Once I get a newer bike to ride, I'm gonna save my money to go see all the party girls there.

Z, swft, I too had a great time at dinner. Also we thought it would be cold driving back. It was not bad at all, I was comfortable all the way back to my camp site (Embassy Suites in Santa Clara) except for that damn Corbin seat. How did you did you guys do on that long walk back? I know it was a major hike( all 50 yards). I'll bet you guys lost weight from all that walking. So Swft did did that soup come back to haunt you?
