oh no, i never hit a deer. i dumped my bike all on my own. real men dont need help to crash thier bikes 
and the hair, well... u may have a point there

Oh shite, I just found your post of yesterday. I assume your further South now? I'd love to buy ya lunch dude if your still in the Bay Area? I assume your further toward Monterey by now...? EBD - No, I'm still up in Manteca. Heading south today. Did the bearing stuff myself, not hard, and you can just about get it done with the tool kit. Gimme a shout on my cell today, wednesday at XXX-XXX-XXXX if you want to do lunch. I'm heading down to Laguna today, so could meet with you somewhere along the way.

Yesterday was a good ride, headed back west on 580 to 101 South and jumped off on 1 down to Stinson Beach. Was a good road up to the small park that overlooks everything, but then the road turned to utter shit going down to Stinson beach. It looks like the road is falling off the hillside, and CADOT's idea of repair has been to lay down asphalt across the cracks to hold it in place. There were cracks, sinkholes, crappy repair jobs, definately the worst piece of pavement I've seen in awhile. Wouldn't ever recommend it, unless you just wanted to punish yourself. And the stupid drivers that would NOT use the turnouts...Had to blast by them on the big Zed. That low end grunt in the ZZR sure comes in handy!

Oh wow, just looked at the map. Man, that's not the way I'm going. Was planning on hoofing down I5 today. Was thinking of compromising and meeting up in Livermore or somesuch. What do you think?

Well, arrived at the hotel down on Cannery Row in Monterey! ZHooligan was in the parking lot with the truck, only had to wait about 20 minutes before the room was ready. Took the time to wipe the bike down and help Z unload his 12.

Well I am going to head down Friday night. The wifey is staying in South San Francisco, I will be at the Embassy Suites in Santa Clara. 14 hours 18 minutes 912 miles. The truck did fine.
My laser shifter cae in handy. Saved me twice.
