Service, done, Summer can begin
Yesterday finalized the service of my 12R. Had the rear shock serviced, changed front fork fluids and new Michelins. Now I can start my riding season. Or at least when the rain/snow stops here...
During winter also added couple CF parts to my bike:
And when weighting the parts found out that my ride is know app. 40lbs (18kg) lighter than before of the CF parts. But I did the weighting with rider so it may not solely the CF parts

I can't believe your bike still looks so pristine so many years later. makes me feel bad for what i done to mine

Well, the first 12 isin't that pristine anymore after 90k miles but still running good (sold to a friend 5 years ago). This second '00 was a find with 8k miles in the odo 5 years ago. I just wish the ECU tuning would have been available back in '00 because now when the fueling is tweaked it's so smoother and responsive than in stock. But I really still love this bike, even after riding other newer ones. I think that in ZX12 KHI nailed the comprimise between supersport and sport - at least for my preference.

Well, here we have this approximately 80% registeration tax (+24% retail tax) so price was less than 8000$ 5 years ago. Back in 2000 the new OTD was 29000$. We're not lucky when it comes to purchase cars or motorcycles...

Those are absolutely ludicrous taxation rates.
Surprising for a country with such a massive motorsports history and culture.
And fish, it is less pride of ownership and more not crashing it. also, having a garage.

Yes carage definately helps! The first one was dropped couple of times when sitting still so only minor crstches. Yes I know the taxes are really bad over here but there is little one can do... Maybe the high prices are reason for our motorsports success because everybody has learner riding on old machine so it takes more from the rider...
