2002 ZX12s,Heli bars, Dino's mirrors,Stem stands, and Throttlemeisters
Well apparently on the 2002 ZX12s...there is a slight clearance problem on the Helibar - Dino's mirrors combo.
The brake reservoir hits the mirror when turning left. You can move the mirror up some..but then visibility is shot (unless you want to look for "eyes in the sky")
As for using the Stemstand....Im probably going to have to figure some other way to install it. There is not enough room on the throttle side to mount the piece. Anyone mounted it on the left side?
Also since I lost a few pieces of my Throttlemeister assembly...I noticed that with the Heli bars, the fit has to be "tailored"...hehe. Alittle grinding here and alittle shimming there..it works good now!
I have to say that the Helis are all of 3/8" taller. We'll see how effective they are after a few 600mile days.
But last night was a productive one.
-Helis installed
-Throttlemeisters installed
-5 Star rack installed
-2002 seat installed
Still got to put on a set of Bridgestones (010s or 012s), change my gearing, and wire up a 12volt cigarette lighter for my electronic apparatus before departure on Wed. Any suggestions on which wire to tap for a cigarette lighter? I was thinking the high beam switch?

Isn't there an accessory fuse blank under the 'ashtray' on the airbox cover?
...and I wasn't going to say anything about the 'electronic apparatus' comment. I think Harry pretty much knocked that one in the hole.

TB,.. I just went down and adjusted mirrors on Beans 02......with the mirrors turned up, and next to the fairing, there's 1 1/4" clearance at the tightest spot! You do realize the mirrors rotate AND swivel ? (see directions ) Give me a call, Fog Ducker

I'd tap into the fuse-box Steve...it would SUCK if you blew a head-light fuse going down the road
The early model bikes even have an extra open slot (for wire terminal)...I don't recall if the new bikes have one...
I'm going to ride a BLUE 02 tonight though so...maybe I will take the tray off and look/see

PMB 02
The 02's and up models, don't have the same extra open slot (for wire terminal) fuse as the 00-01. The reason why is, the 02's have two fans. I found this out when I installed my radar detector.

I just use a really big back pack. It has outside pockets to stow a cell phone and other "need to get to" items.
Or a Duffle bag.
Givi has a hard bag, but at $400...it doesnt have enough space for more than a pair of pants and shoes.
