Where's the I in IM?
Maybe I've got something set up wrong with my computers at home and work? Whenever someone sends me an "Instant Message" the only way I know about it is if I go out of my way to look for it!
I've got the ZX-12R Zone set as a favorite on my Internet Explorer browser. If I want to check for Instant Messages sent to me I have to go back to the Bikeland.org website main page and then click on another link or two. I don't see anything "instant" about that!! What's up?

yes, it is a bit of a wacky "trick"...
it works.. problem is, some browsers, and indeed some browser versions handle the popups differenly... and dont pop them up in a timely manner. [btw, you have to keep the floating who's online window open for the instant msgs to popup more regularly.... but it's still partially subject to the "will" of your browser ]

I'm using Internet Explorer 4.0 at work (and they will give me shit if I change it to a newer version) and IE 5.0 at home. Will IE 6.0 help any with this?

Wow!! The replies to posts on this site are really rockin' at full speed - I can barely keep up!
I can see why KawRider was disappointed.

... actually there is a little trick to it.. some browsers only deliver the IM's in the main forums index, so if you check back there periodically then you can collect them....
hey! we're trying already! we could just turn it off altogether and be like all the other boards!
