For Wives and Girlfriends!
Note the bars that move the foot pegs 4 inches forward and 2 inches down. The Corbin seat with the soft foam and cut so it will not dig into their legs, The Renntech grab rain with the Corbin sport backrest for the ZX11 seat. The Spencer Cycle high rise top clamp so I sit up straighter. They will love you for this and know how you feel also. The Ohlins does not hurt to have either to make the ride softer!

that's a nice setup vince! good to see u'r so concerned about the comfort of ur woman. arent u just a big sweety eh? man, & i had a problem with a woman falling asleep back there before. all this comfort would put her into a coma!

Hey fast lady! My wife has her 250 Ninja, but just plain likes speed and wants to feel safe doing it. Not an easy combination. So I set the bike up so I can ride it as fast as most people would single. Remember the reason we got married was while in a turn at 140 with the bike twitching and my heart up in my throat, she told me that "I would do better in the next turn". BTW, sometimes I sit neutral and she does the leaning and steering because we both know exactly where we are going
ANd Speaking of "DAD #2"!! How are you doing there?? You are the Lady and it will not last forever. Anything less than 3 years and you are ahead of me!

Vincent - If we ever end up in the same geographic region (say, Deal's Gap) and I have the ZZR, will have to let you and the wife try it out. With the Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat with the OvalBac rest, passenger is very secure. The Corbin bags feature scalloped reliefs for the passenger's legs and allow access to the passengar footpegs, but she better have small feet!
Here's an overhead shot I took last October, on my way to Seattle onboard the ferry boat.

Swft, remember I had a ZX11 before the 12! Where do you think I got that back rest from Plus I had to take apart the shock on the 11 about 10 times to get the compression dampening correct so that when we saw a large bump she did not even bother to put weight on her feet !! (Can people rent space out in those lockers??)

Any female companions I've had have made absolutely no difference to my old ZZR11 (ZX11?)'s handling, as I'm a bit of a lardass.
But at least these big beasts (the bikes I mean), can take a few kilosextra without bottoming out like the smaller sporty tackle.
I went on honeymoon on my ZZR1100 many moons back and it was superb (the ride not the errr.... ride... err....)

And onother thing!
Swft, which bags have you got on the back of your bike, they look brilliant from above (ZZR12 was my first choice but I wanted black and I live in the back-of-beyond).
I don't trust Givis as I followed a guy who lost all his luggage (passport, wallet) at 150 mph. I had Nonfango's on my last ZZR but yours look "fitted". What's the deal?

That's right, they are the Corbin bags. They really follow the lines of the bike. From the side, they have the exact same profile as the gas tank:
The look from above is just wicked. Reminds me of a big middle age war axe. Which suits the bike being the road ax that it is. ____________

Vincent - how did you get that '11 backrest on??? And did you need to drill to get the foot-rests down? My GF is 6'2" - please send me info for these mods, she'll love ya for em!! My e-mail is dethpulse@hotmail.com

The Foot Pegs, There are 2 aluminum Bars about 8 inches long, 1 inch thick and 1.5 inches wide. 2 sets of holes drilled with the same spacing of the foot peg brackets. at one end, the Holes are threaded to mount the pegs and the other end they are just drilled to mount them to the frame.
I used a Band saw to vertically split the Muffler mount and take 1/4 inch out of the center, then cut it off. I used a piece of 1/4" x1" of mild aluminum strap that you can get from Home Depot or Lowes and used the Muffler mount (1/2 on each side)
The corbin Backrest has a 1/2" solid steel bar that normally slides into the back of the Corbin Gun Fighter and lady seat! I cut it off to about 2 inches in length and found the best angle (Almost vertical) and welded it to the top center of the Renntech Grab rail. Then I used a Nylok nut and left the seat stiff to move. That is it!
The Seat, I sent a stock seat to corbin with the drawing and measurements showing 2 inches of padding and written all over that Yes, the Seat cover will not fit! 2 times later and then perfect!

Corbin cannot find their A-s with either hand! I am going to take some digital pictures with some measurements and post it in a few places because you are not the 20th person that has asked! It is a shame they are such hard heads. Michael Hanagan (Mike Corbin) secretary is the only person there that needs to be there. She is 200% and the rest are 50%. About $120 to make the seat and 200% better than stock!. Do the Peg Brackets and seat and prepare to die from the Extra Love shown!

Not too bad! I am back to crutching it! Leg is showing some healing already! I have bounced back from the 2nd surgery alot faster than the first one! I can bend my leg enough now to ride my bike! I can't wait any longer....I'll be riding (at least a little) in a week or two!!No need to preach to me about riding - it won't do any good ....Cause I am riding!!! I might even drag race this year (soon)!!! Oh! Yeah! ____________
