GM Truck Alert
Just spent the week end working on my kids truck. If you own a 95 chevy or gmc you better check your brake lines and the oil pan. Because they just rust apart. You should replace ALL the brake lines because they are going to break. The oil pan rotted right through.. Pics available of the grusome sites

Lube, one would think that you most of all would change your oil to get any water out of there. I dont know about you guys but I clean under my trucks and cars and check for that kind of stuff and coat all the rubber stuff with silicone to make things last. My 95 Tahoe (which got traded in on an Escalade) had no issues whatsoever.

Ted, the pan rusted between the flywheel cover. You can't scrub and paint your entire set of brake lines.

Question..........
I know you guys have a lot more snow and ice up that way, hence more salt and stuff on the roads. That has to factor in IMHO.

The gaskets are getting better. If they still leaked oil like in the old days this wouldn't happen. All my cars have the automatic rust proofing system in operation. Not too good for the environment though, I guess!
