KZ1300 6 cylinder exhaust Let me ask to Kawasaki fans:
A friend of mine is about to buy a 1982 KZ1300. However he want to install a 6 into pipe (after-marlet) on it. So, before buying a new pipe, is it possible to get a used one? Do you know if there could be one lying around in your area? Beside DG Performance, do you know other brands of pipes for the big 1300? Thanks!

No but actually I'm looking for a mint low mileage one if you know where I can get one (78 to 82 no fairings etc) Most I've seen are old a decrepid. I think the only pipe available in mass senario was the D&G They are awesome and sound cool! There was a few junkers on ebay with the D&G a while ago so just keep looking. Good Luck! One of my favorite bikes I've owned by the way after 30 bikes so far!!!!!!!!!

Probably impossible to find, but a bud of mind had one with the Denco 6 into 6 pipes (3 on each side.) Not only did it look cool, & they cleared the ground for cornering, it was the best sounding bike I ever heard except maybe some CBX's with the same brand/style Denco 6 into 6 pipes.
Thing sounded like a racing Ferrari! Awesome! Get to searching...

MMM...Hmmm...
COOOLEST sounding bikes ever with pipes (kz1300 and CBXs).
I knew of a guy back home that had NO2 on his 1300...did 2nd gear power wheelies!!!

Dave, I know exactly what you are talking about. That's the one isn't it? And retail price was $299.95 by then...

Yep, that's them (where'd you find that pic? Seems I saw that 20 years ago...) Guy I used to ride with back then (Shawn from Moraga, CA where have you gone?) was a ex-racer & friggin' wildman. He had a built CBX that had everything done to it you could do, & had removed the 6 baffles too.
That bike was the nasty'est sounding bike I ever heard. Especially while strafing the canyons & me trying my damnest to pass him, without success! He'd be wheelie'ing out of corners while hanging the rear, reving that thing to kingdom come....& we couldn't get past. He was a great rider & knew it....it was rad man...
Ah the memories of strafin' back in the day of Cafe' bikes...(sigh)...
When men were men....
Ah....fond memories...

Dave, many years ago I was quite involved into those 2 stroke triples and I was ordering all the catalogs (Denco, Fast By Gast, Dou'g Cycle, etc...) and I still have this original Denco catalog where the CBX is pictured.

I see Tsukigi Racing makes a pipe for $1200 near the bottom of the link Dave put up. I just put a Tsukigi full Ti on my 12R. Beautiful pipe. Hiro Tajimoto is the US sales rep. Located out of Torrance Calif. The ph no is the same as the one I have 310 328 3224 tsukigiusa@aol.com. Glad you brought this up. I've been trying to get Dad to sell me his '84 ZG.

After learning on dirt/street on a 70's DT-1 YAM, my first "big bike" was a 72' H1b 500cc triple in 1974'...(Orange tank, disk brake.)
Riding twisties on that hindged frame thing was a challenge....but it was fun @ the drags, & coming onto the straights outta corners... ____________
